typeraa
whats the difference between, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 stroker kits? Link to comment
killbill
would pressume its the stroke length Link to comment
oohaohh
They are different engine sizes. I'm not 100 percent sure but I also think they are block dependant as well. If memory serves me right the 2.33 needs the 2.5 block and the others are based on the 2 litre one. As for the gains and technical side, i'll let one of the others go into that cause I'm not totally certain Link to comment
typeraa
lol yea, i just wanted to know what the gains were. Link to comment
fmj
lol yea, i just wanted to know what the gains were. Generally I think (and i could be wrong) that a larger capacity can give you gains in low down torque but wont be as revy. Link to comment
PRODRIVERULES
lol yea, i just wanted to know what the gains were. the 2.33 is the best all round of the bunch for agood comprimise between rev pickup and torqe and maximum power out put but for anything under 500 bhp the 2.1 is awinner and the cheapest.Ryan Link to comment
Un-ink
Various combinations to achieve 2.1 and 2.35 engines, rod length crank stroke, piston height, bore size and so on. Cost effective stoker engines are 2.1 which uses the 2lt block, the 2.35 however can be achieved in to ways. The first and foremost the strongest would use the Ej22 closed deck, and second would use the ej257 which in fact is destroked to achieve the 2.33 by using the 75 mm crank from that of a 2lt so not technically a stroker engine, all of the above use custom rod and piston combo’s. The main benefits are increased toque and better revving engines. Link to comment
