Am I Being Taken For A Mug?!

YET again im still being taken for a mug !!!!!!

apprently they ordered the wrong switch for the front electric window, dunno how you can order the wrong switch when all you do is phone up subaru and give them the numberplate/chais number and tell them the part you want , but for evanshalshaw this seemed to much as instead of getting the car back they have said the switch is on back order now,

when speaking to "CHARLOTTE" ( the useless behatch- inflateable dart board) this is subarus fault for sending the wrong part , and when asked if it had been sent for its diagnostic neway without the switch , she was still adament that it needed to wait for the electric window button before it got that done. luckily i spoke to the service lads up at nobles and he said it wouldnt matter fitted or not fitted the diagnostic machine wouldnt matter if the button was or wasnt on, so i tell this charlotte this and she says i quote " oh well that how it works with our ford models we have to wait for any electrical problems to be fixed before we can run a diagnostic on them" still a load of bull if you ask me ,

funny though how yesterday when i speak to the services department the switch was being fitted as they spoke to me on the phone when i asked to speak to the dealership manager david gibb, so its went from being fitted as we speak to being the wrong switch entirely , what kind of circus do they run down there,....??? more evanshalshaw lies

so i ask cahrlotte miss useless to put me through to david gibb branch manager again , and ohh wait shes jumping through hoops saying shes gona find out the problem and get back in touch .

get a phone call back as im typing this , now someone else , saying they are sorry for messing me about and for the job taking so long and that they are goin to take the car up to nobles and let them order the switch ( can take up to 10 days on back order) and let them diagnose the machine . and they hope to phone me in the near future saying the car is ready .

now lets hope they do what they say this time and tommorow its up at subaru in penicuik for the near future getting treated properly and fixed as soon as ,

so i am now back in the mood from being all happy and smiley and cant wait to finish putting the rally decals on to back being realy peeeed off and like this again

P.S the chances of me making my first meet/event on knockhill on the 23rd is looking slim and as the deadline is this weekend which i was hoping to have my shift sorted by , is very slim especialy seeing how they have hung out geting it fixed for what seems like 3weeks

i feel your pain a in 2006 i bought a new leon cupra r 225 (the only 2006 one) well chuffed....... i went on holiday to spain and was picking it up the day i got back as there were a few things that i spotted thet were not right (300 miles on the clock) there were 2 hankooks should have been pirellis there was a wee crack on the front splitter and i was having it superguarded. 2 weeks later come back from holiday went to get it. they were superguarding it there and then WTF they had 2 weeks to do it. the tyres were not back to pirellis and there was now a crack in the rear light. 320 miles on the clock now?? went fecking ballistic! as had already paid and as had changed numberplates over had to take the car away with the promise all would be sorted. decided to go to another seat dealer and let them look at the car. turned out car had been registered in 2005 in bristol then de-registered when garage went bust but so was 2nd hand. superguard had not been done right etc etc. got trading standards in and threw a round of hell into paisley anry shark. ended up speaking to arnold clarks son and told him he could stick it up his ar*e. eventually agreed to give me my civic type -r back and refund me all costs. but i had it for 10 days until plates were changes. well fook me its amazing how much tred you can wear down in such a short time and 152mph with under 400 miles on clock. i did my best to take it to an inch of its life. i even went through road works 3 times as they were putting new tar down to coat it in as much tar as possible.

after i took the car in and swapped over to my old ctr the salesman told me that he had already sold it to someone else for the price that i had paid. dont trust them and dont take any of there lies ask for compo for your delay push for everything free services etc etc hope you get it sorted good luck fella

cheers hightower , well so far they say their handing it up to nobles to get all the parts ordered and diagnosed, havent driven down to the dealership to see if its still sitting out the back , or if its already been taken up to nobles, dont think i wana go look, but they have a week to get it sorted and back to me, but means im missing my first meet with all you site members up at knockhill, on the 22nd, as its too late to putmy name down and i dunno if il have the car back by then , so gues im waiting until the next edinburgh meet or maybe the scottish modified at highland centre,

if they dont have the car back to me this time next week , they will have had the car for a month to do an electric front window switch and diagnose the engine management light , which they said is going up to nobles subaru in penicuik asap. for them to do everything, but liek i said if its not back, then il be wanting the area managers number of evans halshaw for edinburgh ,and think trading standards will be a must aswel, seeing how i was sold the car stating there was nothing wrong with it other than stone chips that were also supposedly to be sorted by their guys in rotheram where the car was purchased and delivered up to edinburgh , but think i will go to ultimate shine that i saw on here work looked very good see if i can get some prices and let him work his magic .

sucks going from a 2litre wrx sti type uk, to a 54plate nissan micra, :rotfl: only good thing is a tank of petrol is lasting about two weeks as apposed to about 6days :rotfl: not doing my street cred any good though , being 6ft 5 , and driving a micra, that has nice pink fluffy bits in it and a blue dolphin hanging from the rear veiw mirror

just a wee update,

nobles ooked at the scoobaru on thursday ran the diagnostic, said there was some wiring issues, so their dealing with that , then going to run another diagnostic on monday, and hopefuly get her back monday or tuesday , as im off tue and wed and want to getthe rest of the rally decals put on

FUTHER UPDATE FOLKS,

nodles subaru in penicuik ran the wireing diagnostic , yesterday , looks like i still wont have the car back .

they phoned this morning to say there is a wire somewhere in the wireing sumthing sumthing, and engine sumthing, was a voice message on the girlfreinds phone could barely hear. they dont know exactly where the loose wire is , but are going to have to remove the engine and head gasket and look for it before they can fix it ,

just glad im not paying for this . think evans halshaw in edinburgh is waiting to get permision from evanshalshaw in rotheram to let nobles go ahead with the work as they have to cover the cost of it all

....

quick update / just edit this now. got a phonecall from paul evans halshaw edinburgh , he says according to nobles ,its a trapped wire in the wireing loom , causing an injector problem which is sending an incorect pulse to the injector ,

nobles thinks the previous owner has tried modding the engine and when they have taken off the intercooler and turbo and put it back together they have caught a wire somewhere, so nobles are going to have to strip the top of the engine to find the problem and fix it, which is roughly 3hours work but they cant go ahead with the work until evanshalshaw rotheram give evans halshaw portobello authorisation to go ahead with the work as they pay for it , so portobello halshaws waiting on a phonecall from rotheram dealership manager MICHAEL BOLTON ( yeah that is his name) lol to get back to them so they can inform nobles to give them the go ahead to start .

personaly i dont see why they need the eprmision as its all one dealership , and they should just say go ahead and they send the bill to rotheram ,

and as ive said previous the only mod i can think of is a turbo timer being fitted , unless thats standard , but to me it looks like an aftermarket mod , as the timer in the dash dosnt look like its been put in too well and not suited properly for a scoob

Hope you get it sorted soon mate. Turbo timer is and aftermarket mod they dont have them standard. duno why people fit them tbh waste of money

been 5 and a bit weeks now, and ive only owned the car for 6 and a bit weeks , so i had it basicly a week and theyve had it ever since,

just got phoned the now, theyve had the go ahead so work is getting started

YEAH said they have to take the top half of engine apart to find it as the previous owner tried to mod it and has knocked sumthin or not put the wires back properly ,

as said im glad im not havin to pay for it , hope nobles charges evans a shed load for labour and parts

ok more of an update now

after them having the car for 7 - 8 weeks now, finaly got the car back today, said the previous owner had modded it to hell knackered the wirring and put most of it in back to front.

so they polished it washed it , had it ready for me, heres me all excited, big smile back on face, admitedly i turn up get it and theres no petrol left in the tank and the fuel light is on.

so i take it anyway , wanting to just sit in my baby drive her again, feels good, i drive ten miles to get to a garage to put some v-power in her and just before i get to the petrol station the MOFO engine light comes back on, ..!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT HAPPENING TO ME!!!!!!!!!!

phone evans halshaw they say bring it back,

get down there , guy said subaru think there may be alot of problems with the car , but hes gona have to send it back up to nobles, let them look at it and it will go up tomorow at some point and they will put on the diagnostic straight away incase its sumthing simple. evans halshaw guy says after them having it for 8 weeks, maybe i should consider getting my money back and not taking the car for the amount of trouble i may have with it.

i realy dont wana get rid of it, especialy after two years of looking for this particular model, wrx sti type uk , in blue with the gold alloys at that price.so heres hoping it realy is something simple , and not to bad and i get it back next week,

Get it back to EH & demand your cash back it's a buyers market mate theres some really good cars out there, EH have mucked you about enough tell them your getting trading standards involved & give them some bad publicity

Indeed I would be inclined to agree there. but at the very least I would have been demanding at the very least a full tank of petrol from them...

Just a thought though, but could the engine light be triggered by crap in the dregs of the fuel? (Seeing that your fuel light was on) Unleaded does not sit well for long periods...

Is it going to an Evans Halshaw to be fixed or a Subaru Dealer!? Tell them unless it's sent to a Subaru approved dealer to be sorted, they'll be having it back.

The length of time to sort and the fact that they've now said it may never run properly is proof enough that the car's ****ed and it's time they took it back!

dunno , its back to nobles tomorow for a diagnostic, so wait and see i suppose,

trouble is finding a wrx sti with the gold alloys correct rear spoiler, and in blue, for reasonable price, with decent mileage around £6,995

and not any older than 03 plate, was looking at cpl on sale on here but just out of the price range

back to nobles which is a subaru dealership, they have done all the work, was subaru that told evans halshaw guy who said he shldnt tell me but they think its had lots of mods taken off before being sold and the wireing wasnt put back rite thats why it took nobles so long to fix everything, new wiring loom/ new wireing harness, quiet a few new wires all put in aswel

evans halshaw footing the bill for labour and parts , i dont pay a penny

I would be returning the car mate. Or insist that they give you a full warranty covering ALL electrical issues for at least 1 full year that at least will put your mind at rest. I know you have spent ages looking for the right car so why wreck it with a let down car and loose the passion you had

I would also try and find out if the last owner had the car mapped, and has it been re-mapped back to standard if so.

cheers folks, realy dont wana get rid of it like,

just hope seeing how its had major engine work done to it i shouldnt have to worry , because going by the logs and reciets in the book, the engine was taken out previously had new belts/ filters and liquids all replaced head gasket the lot cost the last guy £1700 and that was just a cpl thousand miles before i got it and majority of its services and mots were done by a subaru garage all except 2, and now with new wireing / wireing harness /loom thats been put in since ive had it im hoping thats it sorted and this is just a little hic up, cause when i got going and got it up to the 30mph - 40mph in 3rd and 4th gear there was a strange sound that i wasnt used to coming from the rear left side over my shoulder which made me think sumthing with the exhaust and thats what has caused the engine management light to go on maybe a sensor or sumthing had broke which caused the fuel not to burn right which caused the strange sound and the light to come back on....

not mechanicly minded but know the odd bit and bob but prety basic stuff, and usualy know if sumthing isnt sounding right or not .

as for warrenty i paid an extra £400 bucks for an extra 2 years warrenty on top of the usual basic three months when i got the car also wish i got the years service cover but didnt know they done that aswel , though their warrenty cover seem fcuked up cause you look at the excluded items and nearly all the parts of the car are excluded except the wing mirrors, so think il get them to explain exactly what will be covered with this extra warrenty when i next go back in .

il find out today when it goes up to nobles and they put it on diagnostic again for the 3rd time. and il get a phone call later on today,

realy gutted missed all these shows and meets, missed the shows up at knockhill , was hoping to get along to the bridge of allen classic car one got my name down for it wana put faces to the names and to all that have helped aswel, see the other cars but cant say il defo have the ca back by then depending what they find and if they need to order new parts again...

only thing thats
