This Is Were All Our Cars Are Going When They Are Stolen

well if somebody reports it to the police then it might stop somebody elses pride and joy getting nicked

even if it stops 1 persons car getting done its worth it

just to let you all know that car park is bishopbriggs retail park

But that was my point earlier in the thread. If you are concerned that you have found allegedly stolen cars on YouTube, then report it to the police. If you know the guys name or alias, then pass to the police. Don't encourage them by posting links on a forum. If it was my car that had been nicked, I wouldn't want a video of the thieving little ****s driving it posted on this forum. I would however thank anyone who brought such a video quietly to my attention and I would pass details to the police.

This thread is still not going to stop my car, or anyone elses car getting stolen. Scoobzie/Diablo/RACERX reporting his concerns to the police, or even crimestoppers might do.

i apoligise mate mis-understood what you meant

but totally agree with you to be honest,

the thing that annoys me is that if somebody is in my car trying to start it and i hit him with a bat

im the 1 in the court for using to much force but the scumbag trying to drive away gets a slap on the wrist

a fine if a wee bit of justice is done then he sues me

to be honest guys this country is a joke for law abidding citizens.

if your a criminal or junkie your jamming

so f**K it why dont we all become strains on the society and claim benefits :rotfl:

sorry for the hissy fit

Unfortunatly, it is the country we live in.

To be honest, if someone broke into my house late at night with a wepon demanding the keys, I would hand them to them. Isn't worth an argument or myself or my partner ending up in hospital. Thats what the insurance is for.

That is not an invite to any local criminals mind. The house has a seriously wired up alarm that splits your ear drums when it goes off, and the car a tracker so you won't get far before it gets found! :rotfl:

lol yeah i see your point if they came into the house but if a found them in the car dont think i could hold my temper

Personally I agree that you really need to be reporting it to the police, and not to the forum...

if it was my car, I certainly wouldn't want it waved in my face on you tube, especially when you have stated that there is more info....

I have to be honest, if you know more but wont take it to the police, then I couldn't trust you as far as I could throw you, and to be fair, your behaviour on here is such that it wouldn't surprise me that you had something to do with it...

Stephen, I think that you should perhaps contact the police with Scoobzie/Diablo/RACERX's IP, and tell them that they claim to have info on the spate of thefts, if indeed they are not connected with them...

The cars being stolen are too sophisticated for the numpties up in Milton. I know the area VERY well, and they're more opportunists than stolen to order thieves.

RacerX or Scoobzie, amidst all the bull**** going on I can see your point but the idiots posting these videos are just that...idiots. The cars going missing left right and centre just now are being stolen for purpose, they would only be found torched by these guys, not in a breakers yard being cut-up and sold on.

Its maybe just me, but i see a few post frome racerx. and all are to do with car thefts of some sort. and how he knows someone in the polis call centre. And thats how his info is reliable.

Maybe its his croonies that are doing the blagging, and hes here bragging all about it. And seeing how folk react.

Police!!, think you guys all live in a dream world :rotfl:

probably think that voting tomorrow will make a difference.

the police are a total waste of space! when my car got stole they were no use at all.

my car was spotted the next day and also seen around milton area weeks later, the thieves caught on cctv at a car wash, with driver in full view, and guess what, nothing happened !

surely 17 year olds in a RS6 is enough for any police officer to be suspisios :rotfl:

Fjorking tw@ts, Plod should contact youtube to get the IP the vids were posted from .. They were probably stupid enough to post it from home. Plod chaps their door or watch where they go. If they can't do that what chance is there?

Bit below the belt that.

In one of the clips on YouTube the file is of a passenger riding in a blue newage, and I think, by the shape of the scoop, it is a bugeye. Scoobzie/Diablo/RACERX drives a blue bugeye. The driver in the clip isn't wearing gloves and it looks more like a spirited run out in the hills than a joyride in a nicked motor.

I just can't help thinking that there is something more to this than just some prat posting links he randomly found on YouTube.

Where is Milton by the way?? :rotfl:

Relax dude its cool.

If you were genuinely trying to make a point I hear you, its all the CSI investigators on here you have to put up with.

If your at the wind up your a naughty boy, but I dont think you are.

Everyone else, lets just drop it, please.

I think we can all drop the slagging and branding Wilky, but we can't ignore the fact that across the bored just now there seems to be a serious issue with car theft which really has'nt been AS bad as this since the 90's. If as many cars are going missing, at the rate that members are saying they are then clearly this is a huge problem.

Being a mechanic I have every break-in kit going but the simple fact is, keys are needed for most modern cars and I for one dont fancy waking up to someone asking me for the keys. These people have to be stopped and if the numpties on youtube are willing to call themselves car thieves, even if their not, then it should be seriously looked into.

keys are coded now, car is much use as a chocolate fire guard if not got the keys to start it

Your right Diesel hands,

Unfortunately its now a case of breaking into your house to get the keys. The preferred method is a pole through your letterbox with a magnet on the end. Even on plastic keyless systems people still put metal key rings on them making it easy for the magnet to pick up.

What can be done to counter this? Personal home security, checking windows and doors before you go to bed. Dont leave your keys in the hall on a table or in a jacket pocket in the hall. Be aware of third party interest in your home and your car as you go about your daily business.

Here in Louisiana there is not many house breakings as you can imagine. Here you have the right to defend your home against robbery. Your car is also considered an extension of your home so its acceptable to defend it as well against robbery, meaning you are within your right to be armed.

However if you want to wander around outside the car tooled up, you need a concealed weapons permit.

In the UK its different, but little changes to your daily routine, and awareness of who is taking an interest in you can go a long way to deterring these scumbags. Its all about making the effort and not being negative. Be proactive, not reactive.

take active steps to make it hard for them, if you just moan about it and think its all hopeless, you are letting them win.

Ill get off the soapbox now.

There has always been a sensible thread about car crime struggling to get out. Unfortunately, it has taken 2 and a half pages of nonsense, slagging and people being prats (myself included) to get there.

It is still my view that posting these links onto an owners club forum is not appropriate and not the way to kick off a sensible and educated debate on car crime. I still take what I am seeing with a pinch of salt as whilst some of the videos do appear to be of car thieves/joyriders, others I am not so sure about - maybe boy racers / chavs being passed off as thieves in an effort to up the profile of any particular thief. It is also difficult to take seriously, posts from a member who has been previously banned and is now back posting under a new user name.

It is worrying that car crime seems to be on the increase, particularly as keys are required for modern cars and that likely means trying to break and enter your house for the keys, or even turn up at the door demanding the keys. Wilky has hit the nail on the head re your personal home security and taking active steps to make it hard for them.

If you are concerned that crimes have been committed or posted on the net or someone is casing your local area, send the details to the police. The attitude of ‘there is no point, the police won’t do anything’ is hardly helpful. Let the police decide if the info is useful and worth pursuing. You never know, it might just be the call or information they needed to bag the little blighters.

Daily Record would jump on a story like this - or the Scottish Sun - they love a drama - complete with stills from the vids posted.

As I said previously - I was aware who the OP was very early doors yesterday and may have got out my industrial sized fishing rod for the purpose of the expedition. So I should apologise for that.

wilky has nailed it! its all about being proactive as if i had been a bit more like that my car may not have become a target. I got lazy as most folk do, left the fascia on my new dvd headunit no external steering lock on(they smashed the oe one to bits)

things are different now after the fact changing the drive to fit a security pole camera security lights the buzzers etc etc at the end of the day unless we all change our ways they will still try and get away with our pride and joys
