garetho Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Guys, Wondered if you could help me with something. I've found a Scooby Sti 300...actually, this one: It's a '09 4k miles 1 owner Any thoughts on price? Is it likely financial suicide (not the running costs, just the value after a year.)? Its potential worth next year? Not sure I could stomach £5k+ loss a year. TIA G
wrxmania Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 What price is it - looks like a 330s? Just with different wheels - or it's got a couple of nice extra's (fogs, STI splitter, wheels etc)? Brian.

StrikE Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Nice car, where about is it? As for financial suicide...... every car is m8 unless you buy a collectors car & sit on it 20+ years Buying nearly new isn't as harsh or painful when buying straight from new I reckon with what i can see £25600 ish but thats just a vague guess lol i will be miles out no doubt Are you buying or selling?
sti_steve Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Just noticed it's the same backdrop as WRXMANIA's picture
wrxmania Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 True - wherever it is I don't know - my picture was lifted from google image for the wheels photoshop. Brian
tommo9375 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Wrxmania's pic that he's on about and the one you've posted here are from a garage about a half hour from me called Crown motors outside Banff in Scotland.I actually test drove the Grey one a few months ago and have to say it's a very nice example -the only reason i didn't buy it was the trade in price for my bugeye wasn't what i was looking for.

Was looking to p/x my Z4M. More space and all that.
wrxmania Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 £24k Good price for it, especially as an 09 standard STI is going to come in at around £20k - £21k currently. All about price to change if trading in though. Brian

Ovv Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Just buy it G, then run it for a couple of months then sell it on, thats what you usually do right ??

It's not a 330s, doesn't have the tinted rear windows. the fog, spitters ect are extra even on a 330 so at 24K it over priced for a standard year old sti with just cosmetic changes. Does it have recaro seats and push button start. if it does it may be a euro import.

RS Grant Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 You must be crazy to think about punting the Z4M for an Impreza buddy... that BM looks absolutely spot on and I bet its a good drive too. Cheers, Grant
garetho Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 I meant to update this. Z4M departed and I went a little left field with this:

mystery machine Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I guess as long as you're happy with the trade, that's all that matters...
paul555sti Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Stunning car mate! I think i would have been tempted by one of those as well.
Big Gordon Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Awesome car mate, love it. I love Subarus but i'd take one of those over the Impreza hatch any day.
