The only car i've ever regretted selling is my S2 Escort RS Turbo. The 1st pic was the only time i had it down the 1/4 mile and was the 1st time i met some SIDC members. Craig mac convinced me to buy a newage and a few weeks later i did.

Not a day goes by i don't think about the S2, loved everything about it. Bought it standard with low miles then changed the seats for 90spec to keep my mint 88 spec clean. Also changed the wheels, lights and put a cage in it. Sold it modified but with all the standard parts also.

It was a minter mate. Never welded and you could eat yer dinner off the boot floor. Had it 2 1/2 years and done about 4k miles in it, god i wish i still had it.

I had a series 2 and it was the worst car I ever owned, by miles.

The best depends on many things

Fun = 106 gti

Best memories = first car, a 1.3 1980 escort

Best for pulling girls - Astra GTE. It was 1990 and I was 18. May as well have been a veryon next to everything else at strathy

Best overal = Focus. I've had it for 8 years and it's been perfect. So good in fact that I'm really struggling to decide what to replace it with.

Following Playsatans listing style

Fun = Dimma Clio

Memories = Impreza (Good memories of going fast, bad memory of crashing going fast...)

Pulling = Seat Leon Cupra K1

Reliability = Saab 9-3ss Aero

Best cars i ever had???

Well im sorry but it has to be MK2 Astra GTE.I had four of them and never had any real bother with any of them and i just loved the digital dash and the recaro seats.They never let me down and the flange jus loved em. :D

Both front seats reclined right back for some lovin !!!

I would have to agree with the folks above, i had a Astra GTE and a Nova GSi & the Nova could snap knicker elastic at 40 yards :D

The best car though would have to be the scooby [ all of them]

Worst: Minted 1 previous owner, FVSH, Low Mileage, 2ltr Astra GSi. What a pile of poop, spent more time in the garage with stupid faults than it did in my driveway.

Best, I miss the STi badly:

Most comfortable, and astounding sound system, the current V50 T5 R-Design :D Excellent motor (apart from when turning corners ;))

Fun: My first Impreza, MY99 Turbo @ 19/20years old, I had a LOT of fun in that car!!

Memories: S2 RS Turbo, 1 of 8 on a J-Plate, regret selling that car.

Overall: My last Impreza, MY07 STi Spec G... did everything so well, regret selling that car the most of anything I've owned and sold.

Cheers,

Grant

Loved my old Clio Sport and 205gti and of course the Type-R was brilliant, but my latest car is by far my fave.

Never had a great desire to drive on a track till I bought this. Could do with a few more BHP but thats easily fixed

Very nice Mikey, i have been out quite a few times in my mates old s1 elise with the honda engine and there was very little that would keep with it round knockhill. ( that had a lot to do with the driver as well as the car though )

He also took me on a road run in his mates 2-11 and that was just nuts. :D ( if i every get the 6 numbers up i will buy one )

Not an easy question to answer having had so many in 23 years of driving ( I've just calculated that it averages a car about every 5 months :P ) :D

But for all out mental fun other than the Impreza's I would have to say either my 106Gti, Saxo VTS or 205Gti. So much fun for so little money ;)

Hi All,

My favourite car for pure fun was my first ever sports car, it was way back in 1989 and was a trusty 1600cc twin cam Mk1 Toyoya MR2 T-bar. How I got as much fun out of a 1600 was beyond me. The STi's I have had over the last 10 years were brutal and certainly the most powerful I have driven, but for sheer smile factor in 1989 when I was 18 - this was the dogs!!!

Happy times

Really good question, I had quite a few cars over the year (understatement)

Going to and from work - Smart Brabus (heated seats, leather etc and ran forever on £20)

Summers Day - Elise

Stealth - My 225bhp 4x4 Skoda Octavia

Best car overall - None of them really, if I could take bits off each of them and create some sort of a mutant. Although I have had my current STI for 18 months now and thats a record for me so that must say something!!

Best car: My 2003 Red Subaru Impreza WRX. Miss it :D

Worst car: Vermillion Orange W-reg 1.0 Metro (CSC 778W). Rear subframe rusted through, blootered it into 3 fence posts (backwards) too, wrecked the MG Turbo alloys that I had on it at the time. Although it was fun jamming it into 1st gear at 40mph and hearing the engine & box scream. I think I owned this car back in 1989/1990.

Best car: got to be my95 sti2, had it over 6 years and it's never missed a beat at times it should have wrecked itself but it didn't, it just keeps on going.

Memories: 1992 Cavvy gsi 4x4, had loads of probs with it but i still liked it.

Worst car: prob S2 rst, it looked good but at the age of 29 it made me feel old and let me down most, ended up selling it to an 18 year old because it had a dump valve...lol.
