st3ph3n
I read here and a few other less interesting forums. Depending on where I am and what I'm doing I've got Facebook either in the browser, on the iphone or through tweetdeck. Tweetdeck also covers twitter on the desktop and the iPhone too, although occasionally I use twitteriffic for that. After that there's RSS subscriptions which I synchronise through google reader which are read through either www.google.co.uk/reader or through FeedDemon on PC or NetNewsWire on mac/iPhone. I subscribe to 173 websites in there of which about 60% are professional interest and the rest are personal. Most of those only update once in a while but othere are 50 updates a day. The good ones though are news sites like lifehacker, gizmodo, engadget, jalopnik, autoblog, kotaku. Funny stuff like limmy, xkcd, toothpaste for dinner. HotUKDeals for getting the latest bargains too. Link to comment
~ ~ Cal ~~
http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/ Believe it or not I kinda of started that forum by dragging the SE boys off Yahoo Groups onto a phpBB I set up, They now run it themselves. Stephen - I have never gotten into RSS but will give it more thought tonight ! Will also check out some of those links too Playsatan - round ye ya wharmer Richie - bikeradar is a damn fine site too ! ace_tingtong
Has anyone heard of Stumbleupon yet? It's a toolbar you add and it lets you choose your interests (quite indepth categories which is good - you only get what you are interested in), then all you do is click stumble just under your address bar and it will "stumble upon" something it thinks you will like....amaaaaaaaazing!! It even has a feature allowing you to send pages you like and have stumbled upon (or any other web page for that matter) to friends also on stumble, makes life much, much more interesting www.stumbleupon.com eBay is my killer though, I could lose a week sitting on that Link to comment
