Took a wee trip up to Knockhill today. But since I've sold my track car it gave me a chance to try out my new camera.

Davy

Is that you back down to one scooby Davy? Are you getting another track car?

Back to 1 scooby for now.

Both cars combined did a total mileage of about 6000 miles last year. So it was a bit stupid have 2.

Rather than sell my blue sti and getting buttons for it in the current market. I'm going to convert that to a new track car.

Stay tuned, but it's looks will all be changed with a good bit more power.

Who's car is this? It looks lurverly....for a classic ;)

Cheers! that be mine :guinness:

Some nice pics there, - in one it looks like my rubbers coming off the rims round that hairpin! :)

Great day on track today, first time the cars been up to it and it didn't miss a beat. Only problem to fix now is the ridiculous understeer. Had a couple of wee excursions (well, one bigger excursion;)) across the gravel but held on for dear life and there was no harm done so it was just a good laugh :banana2:

early on in the day I had an epic chase on with a wee red exige for about 7 (or more) laps, . There was really nothing between us I just couldn't get past him... but then maybe he was toying with me, haha. Just gutted my video camera was goosed.

roll on next trackday!

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi All!

I was the pilot of the white classic wagon that decided to attempt a disappearing act through a cloud of its own steam. Thankfully the only damage was to the top rad hose and the car is already back at its second home (mechanic!) to have all the pressure bearing hoses changes for samco. I should have done it sooner but hey ho that's life.

Hope I never held anyone up while they towed me round to my trailer!

I thoroughly enjoyed the day other than that little upset. It was great to meet some familiar faces and put some new ones to usernames!

Shame the weather was a tad changeable but KH lives up to its reputation of having its own weather system yet again. I returned home to sunny Aberdeen to find my girlfriend sunbathing in the ~20C heat!

Anyway, the car will be back up and running soon so i'll no doubt see some of you on track with it again.

p.s. Should anyone have any nice pics of the car or video footage from the outside then i'd love to see it. I've never seen footage of the car on track before!

Cheers

Great day, can't believe how slippy the track was on the warm up. Could have done with better tyres as my set were on their last legs which made for some interesting cornering.

Got a good clear 20 minutes towards the end of the session which let me push the car a bit more.

Looking forward to the next one with new tyres and suspension. Good to meet a few new faces.

I was not there today but my old boy was on track with his Caterham and got a bit of a fright when a DEER ran onto the track and ran around in circles in a panic in front of him ! He was able to stop safely and luckily had no-one behind him ! Never seen that before !

Car is going well Alistair ;)

Who built your engine?

Did you see the Skyline R32?

Cheers Peter,

I actually built it myself with some very helpful advice from Steve Whitson. It's an EJ257 with CP pistons and pauter rods sourced from Ron at Raw Performance in the USA. Steve ported the heads and matched the combustion chambers to the larger bores. I'm currently running a Td05 20g which is a great road set up but will probably go down the GT35 route next year funds permitting.

That skyline was amazing!!

I'll upload a bunch more tomorrow :banana2:

Cheers.

Love the pics there mate, and the of my brake dust! I do like the detail that a decent camera shows.

I've got this one as my phone screensaver now!

Does anyone have wider shots of the racing? I'd love to see more shots of track jostling, and showing the variety of cars on track. I think most people just keep the long lenses on though.

Nae bother peter, -- happy you joined in my celebration of the car-goin-gid. Can you suggest anything for that frightening understeer though?
