It could do with a good clean - It's still covered in dust from being through at the Granite city rally last weekend. I was in Inverness on Sat morning so saw most of the cars in the retail park before you all left. I missed most of the group in Broadford on Sunday - thought you would all have been too hungover for an early start. I would say even the last dozen or so cars still in the carpark was the most Scoobies ever seen in Broadford at the same time. Some great photos posted as well.

Unfortunately guys, getting a single screenshot from the video would have been too much effort for me. Luckily for you, my lazy side kicked in, so here's a photo of the screen of the camcorder showing a certain flatbed. However as we all know, it's the speed which causes accidents, not the drivers..... Bring on the 50 limit!!!

Also, while I have the 2nd memory card in, here's a couple more, including the only banana shot in motion that wasn't blurred.

Nope, but I probably should be.

Twas a most sarcastic comment btw, the effort wasted in doing that would be much better spent on driver training or sorting out the country. Also, it seems like they're saying that since 1977 there has been no improvement in driver ability or car safety. In case you can't tell, I am very much against the 50mph limit, even if the caddy will never exceed it :D

Hi Barry, that would be Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most famous visitor attractions in Scotland, Never been in, but been past loads of times, anywhere in that part of the world is worth going to see for the Scenery alone...

Thanks for that bud :D

I had the scoob over on the Isle of Harris last summer and drove up and through Skye but didn't really have time to stop and admire. Think a road trip is order

Cheers,

Shep

Hope you get a tyre out of this Hoss, t**t spoilt your driving adventures for the rest of the weekend.

Is anyone taking responsibility of making one GOOD video out of all the footage everybody has? just like the Highland one a couple of years ago

A HUGE thank you to all those who organised this event. It was a great experience, scenery was amazing, roads were good and bad which really tested the impreza at times. The rain on the saturday didn't really bother me much but it was good to get some sunshine on the sunday. It was great to meet members here old and new, the banter was good. Congratulations to Jon and debs for their engagement.

The meal was the only down point of the weekend, which was out of our control, we'll know next time though. I'm well up for doing it again, except next time i'll drink less and partake in the top loop of the island adventure :icon_salut:

Cheers

And next time dont switch your car to low boost and get my hopes up about how quick my car was. :D

:icon_salut:

thought the pair of you are at the same level of "fettle-ness"

that was one thing I noticed... cos we changed position in the convoy several times I could see the way different cars handled round the corners, some were stiffer and more planted than others.

was interesting to watch.

how did the Trials handle? :D

what the Banana?

Grant says it went well, car felt really solid cos the roll cage is bolted onto the struts and felt strong going round the corners.

he had so much grip from the tyres (when the road was dry) and I felt he was taking the corners faster than he used to in the Bomber.

though it was a different story when the roads were wet, he said the car felt nervous.

i was enjoying it, the noise in the cabin + full harnesses + bucket seats meant I felt v. secure and strapped in.... plus I trust his driving ability

it just balances out the impracticalities for me :icon_salut:

Imy Rich's car has more power than mines. Mines also has some issues at the moment that will hopefully be addressed in the next few weeks. I thought the standard of driving on the run was very good.

We also noticed that alot of cars allowed us passed which was nice to see.

Yeah :icon_salut: If the lead cars run with their dipped headlights on it gives the cars infront plenty of warning.. And as long as you don't fly up behind peopel and tail gate them being agressive tryign to get past I've found that many other road users are happy to assist you in passing them.. Sometimes even get a friendly wave as you pass.. That's what I really like about club runs like this... Not a fan of more high speed agressive stuff.. Can appear dangersous and it's more likely to attract the wrong sort of attention...
