RS Grant Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 IMHO they're the ONLY wheels you can put on a classic. The spare wheels Johnny was talking about can be seen in my before pics. It's the same wheel but in uber rare magnesium, blue is the only colour they come in so you know what they are. I've never seen another set in the flesh and only a couple online. Brilliant news, thought you had refurb'd the mag TE37's in black... good to see they're still the way they should be. The car looks amazing, think I've said it before but its probably my favorite car in Scottish Scoobies. Cheers, Grant
G4RY Posted September 13, 2008 Posted September 13, 2008 Where did you get your reg plate done? I'd like that style for mine.
frank c Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 (edited) Stunning car Col.. but then you know that already Looks even better after a clean ps: You do realise the blue wheels would look better on mine . Edited September 14, 2008 by Frank C
colin_ross Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks guys but the credit goes to Mike on this one. Gary, plates are from fancyplates.com.
mikeyb13 Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 About time mate. Made me cringe the last time I saw a picture of the car. Looked like it had been rolled through a muddy field, Great job IMHO Black Type Rs are the best looking Subaru ever, ive still never seen another one (RB320 not bad either) Just the motivation I need to spend a morning polishing mine.
Mike M Posted September 14, 2008 Author Posted September 14, 2008 Thanks for all the comments guys, as said when the black is polished up, there's nothing else like it!! Colin put in a lot of elbow grease helping buff the car up, so he should take some of the praise as well. Hopefully when he gets his Dr Colorchip kit, we can go over the front end and get rid of all the stone chips, Col, when it comes in give me a shout and I'll give you hand if you need it Regards Mike
frank c Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Are your plates full size Col or 3/4 mate ?
colin_ross Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 Col, when it comes in give me a shout and I'll give you hand if you need it Will do mate Frank - yup, 3/4 on the front and standard on the back. It's not too jailbait compared to some of the others out there and the fact that you had to ask kind of confirms that.
buffalo Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 ffs thats amazing, my black newage is sitting there doing nothing if anyone else fancies a shot lol
micra_wrc Posted September 14, 2008 Posted September 14, 2008 aye looks now it was really good to see the Type R at the Gathering hopefully we'll see a lot of more of it (and Playsatan!) out and about now
thefastone Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I knew that you were there, I saw you... but I just do not remember seeing the car there!!! Gutted! Looking AWSOME now though mate!
frank c Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 I knew that you were there, I saw you... but I just do not remember seeing the car there!!! Gutted!Looking AWSOME now though mate! The opposite for me..Eventually found the car but never found the driver Next time !!
colin_ross Posted September 16, 2008 Posted September 16, 2008 Don't be a stranger guys. Just look for the guy surrounded by all the women. And if looking for the car just ask about the one with the f%*ked gearbox, that is how it was described to me at the gathering. Imy - yes I'll be out and about much more this year now the spannering has all been done.
drb5 Posted September 17, 2008 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) Just look for the guy surrounded by all the women. Yup...and i'll point you in the right direction. Looking excellent Colin, but PLEASE get rid of the Type-R badge. Edited September 17, 2008 by drb5
