dram300 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Full vid should be on here soon enough ... http://demand.five.tv/Series.aspx?seriesBaseName=FifthGear
scouk Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Grrr! YouTube taking too long to "Process" the video after uploading.. So here's a lower quality version in wmv format: http://www.scouk.plus.com/FifthGear_McRaeGathering.wmv BTW - If you want a higher quality version (DiVX6) lemme know.. Also have the origonal MPEG2 stream if anyone wants it (special download arrangements will need to be made for that one)
billyboy Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 And VBH showed a bit of flesh. That was nice.
micra_wrc Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 watched it again on Sky+ loving this line from VBH "this event has been organised by just three members of the public but felt epic..." and I hope the numpties that moaned at me and gave me grief cos they wanted to leave early feel like right muppets now when they see the gaps in the O and the N in the helicopter footage
scouk Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 and I hope the numpties that moaned at me and gave me grief cos they wanted to leave early feel like right muppets now when they see the gaps in the O and the N in the helicopter footage
gus the bus Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 (edited) and I hope the numpties that moaned at me and gave me grief cos they wanted to leave early feel like right muppets now when they see the gaps in the O and the N in the helicopter footage Some people have no patience or consideration of just how much effort you guys put into this! The "moaners" probably stayed within an hour of the place too Anyhoo, still looked fantastic! Edited September 8, 2008 by Gus the Bus
thefastone Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 (edited) I think that 5th gear tend to put some of their features on your tube already? I didn't see it but I hope that it was taped on Sky+ I'd prefer to see it properly than on you tube... Edited September 8, 2008 by thefastone
big den Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 and I hope the numpties that moaned at me and gave me grief cos they wanted to leave early feel like right muppets now when they see the gaps in the O and the N in the helicopter footage Wonder if they were the same ones that looked as if they were using what appeared to be paper print out Gathering stickers i.e. inside the car without straight edges and looked faded. I was surprised to see folk not prepared to stay that little bit longer. We even did the extra lap of the track & joined the merge in traffic jam twice at the end
Midnight21 Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 watched it again on Sky+ loving this line from VBH"this event has been organised by just three members of the public but felt epic..." and I hope the numpties that moaned at me and gave me grief cos they wanted to leave early feel like right muppets now when they see the gaps in the O and the N in the helicopter footage Brilliant well done again (and the moaning numpties.....THEIR LOSS!!!!!!)
the squiggle Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 I spotted a guy at Banbury that had printed the logo onto the back of a polo shirt and if i wasnt dealing with 3005594934 other things at the same time i would have had his nuts on a BBQ for blatently ripping the pish For the ones that left early, i now have to deal with thier lame excuses as they seem to all want thier exit sticker. This is now up for auction, donated by Jimmy and confirmed as one of the last things Colin signed along with some other last minute signed SWRT gear.

the squiggle Posted September 8, 2008 Author Posted September 8, 2008 When is up for auction. The remaining items that we did not have time to auction off at Warwick will be put on the Prodrive website and bids encouraged and registered through a dedicated Prodrive email address so that both the McRae Gathering site and Prodrive site will host the remaining items we have to auction off. Items like 4 genuine WRC spec bumpers, signed Nicky Grist 555 teamwear, early Rothmans teamwear and signed SWRT and one rather unique engraved WRC transmission part. The raffle will be drawn this Saturday by Ollie Clark and the draw will be recorded and footage hosted on Youtube and the McRae Gathering website Updates soon as the next couple of days i am going thorugh everything, catalouging it and photographing the items still be won. That particular picture will NOT go cheaply.
