Your expectations will be surpassed next weekend and all the efforts of the 3 amigo's and any other helpers will have been worth the HUGE amount of time that you have put in

paul555sti Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 There more chance of Scotland fans singing god save the queen
scouk Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 (edited) Imy, I don't think you have anything to worry about! Not unless there is a massive fuel shortage in teh next week I'm really keen to see how many folk tehre will actualyl be there! It's almost guaranteed to have some sort of fall of... but... remember lat year? what were we expecting 70-80 cars.. and assuming a sensible drop off down to 40-50 cars.. yet we ended up with 130 HUGE number of cars for what was a quick organisation... I wasn't origonally goign to go down until about 2 days before And I certainly ain't gonna miss this if I can help it! - Cannae wait! Just hope the weather comes out for us Edited August 21, 2008 by ScoUK
emoe Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 on a serious note, i think its absolutely wonderful what the three have managed to pull off here. An amazing amount of work involved, and it shows a couple of things. Firstly, this is in my opinion the BEST thing any subaru supporting club could do, and these guys did it! secondly, is there any BETTER way to acknowledge the pure love that all who knew Colin could be shown? thirdly, i for one, am proud to be a part of this event, purely to show the McRae family what thier wonderful son meant to us. People turn up to things that are 1000 times less important than this, i dont have any fear that sunday at prodrive will be AWE inspiring. WELL DONE to the organisers.

You have nothing to worry about - some of the south west lot have even battled to get cars fixed in time for this event!
oz *sti* Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 As has been said above, you def don’t have anything to worry about. I’m sure when next Saturday comes round it will be a mixed day of emotions for all, on one half we will be feeling so proud of what you three have organised and achieved, and on the other half there will be the emotions of the day and why we are there and I’m sure at some point everyone will shed a tear or have a lump in there throat. My self and Lynda will be there that’s for sure. Alan.
micra_wrc Posted August 21, 2008 Author Posted August 21, 2008 aw shucks thanks everyone guess i've been so focussed with dealing with all the various stuff that needs to be organised/planned/bought/discussed/agreed that this is the first time I've actually stopped and looked up to see where I'm at. this event has completely taken over my free time, social time and even work time, and its turned into one of those things that you obsess about, fall asleep thinking about stuff and even worse, waking up still thinking about it. the last 3 months have been frantic, but after making up and posting 200 sticker orders over the last couple of days, i can now pause and chill... well for one night anyway

I imagine that more than a few folk, myself included, have just been going about their business waiting for the weekend to come around. When I stop and think about what you guys have managed to do...wow! You can be very proud of getting this together and as a Subaru community, I'm sure we'll all be very proud of how many will turn up to honour Colin.
