t3hWIT Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) It's been less than 24 hours, so I'm sure a higher quality version will find it's way to youtube. For those of you who missed it, this is Pastrana's tribute to Colin McRae at the X-Games. Higher quality version: http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/...videoId=3517936 Edited August 4, 2008 by t3hWIT
st3ph3n Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 We don't get the x-games live over here anymore and it's usually buried in the TV schedules late at night weeks after it takes place so thanks for posting that. The video itself was very moving as Linky said.
little vodka goblin Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Truly beautiful - it bought tears to my eyes.
Big Gordon Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 A tear in my eye and a lump in my throat. Very moving. Pastrana obviously held Colin in the same regard as we all did.

micra_wrc Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 watching that brought all the emotions back sadly missed by everyone that knew him/watched him behind the wheel. puts a reality check on what the McRae Gathering is all about.

No problem, I figured if anyone were to appreciate it, it'd be the Scots. I added a link to a higher quality version to the original post. Edited August 4, 2008 by t3hWIT

emoe Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 (edited) well done for finding that. well done for Travis Pastrana to show that Colin was not just an icon to us out here, but also to those on the IN-FIELD too. I think that the piece of film should be played on a big screen to all and everyone at Prodrive on the saturday of the run. Nobody could say what he said better! God speed Colin Mcrae gone but NEVER forgotten. Edited August 5, 2008 by emoe

rallyfever Posted August 7, 2008 Posted August 7, 2008 Thanks for the posting, I was already really looking forward to paying my respects to Colin for a 2nd time - but now I just want the McRae Gathering to be here so we can all show the big man how much he is still in our hearts. Maybe he will see his name on the track from his WRC upstairs and have a grin on his face!!! LLets make sure we make him proud and set a new record for him at the same time - 1000 Scoobies roaring!!!! Kinda having problems typing here through the glaze in my eyes, nothing to do with dust - the VT just brings it all back how much the guy changed everyone linked to Subaru's lifes. See you all on the 30th in Lanark.
