the squiggle Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 I would not bother with them mate Your car would suit the ST2's just braw I will inform Paul that i can no longer take them

Now i'm in a dilema. The ST2's are the best looking wheel for your car IMHO If only i did not need to buy 1000 envelopes, they would have been mine Sorry for any dillema causing
scooby222 Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 the rotas are cool, but grants right (as ever) the st2's are perfect for your car -go look at an old pick of colin in a 555 car with those wheels on and decisions made!
st3ph3n Posted May 6, 2008 Posted May 6, 2008 It would be like giving Michael Jordan a pair of matchstick (anyone remember them?) trainers and sending him out to play basketball. He wants Nikes with his wee logo on them. Please don't deprive Michael of the trainers he duly deserves.
mikeyb13 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Lovely wheels mate, nice and light too. I fancied a set in silver. The Classic wheel seems to be the choice of the majority. But I think these will look great on a Blue car
superstar_tradesman Posted May 7, 2008 Author Posted May 7, 2008 sorry to disapoint the masses here but I've bought a set of rotas, hopefully they'll arrive in time for the motor fair this week. at £585 with yokohama tyres I couldn't resist. A big thanks to Gaz at Rimstyle.
jcscoob Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Rimstyle for me... Me to, at 585 with a set of yokohams cant be bad, at the end of the day you could always change them. Good buy
johnnyr6 Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 RL7's are the best rim but i would go for the rotas too m8. Johnny

mctwistuk Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 the new wheels are looking good. I wish i could find someone to swap my hawkeye gold STI wheels for a set of silver or gun metal ones or even black.
grwp Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 (edited) I put these exact wheels on my 1998 2.0 Sport 2 yrs ago. Within a month the laquer was peeling and they corroded like hell. And I am very careful with my wheels and clean them A LOT just with warm water and nothing with chemicals or abrasives.... I had to get them blasted and powder coated after 6 months...... I might as well get some new wheel's as nobody want's to buy my shed...LOL Stevie
thewelsho Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 nice rims indeed big chap Nice rims but poorly displayed due to cr4p picture taking. Lets see an arrangement of pics from different angles etc. do the wheels justice

If that was the case why didn't you take them back to the place you bought them from. If it was me that's what I would have done.
scooby222 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 looking great! but give them a good coat of wheel sealant or polish cos polished rims are a nightmare to keep clean!
Mike M Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Looks superb Fraser, really nice. Like the polished lip, but then I'm biased!! Regards Mike
superstar_tradesman Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 looking great! but give them a good coat of wheel sealant or polish cos polished rims are a nightmare to keep clean! way ahead of you buddy, used turtle wax nano, wax for wheels earlier.
