thanks Al thats why i now run a merc 208cdi for work with the new company i work for and thats why i have 2 scoobs to play with, as my cars are not daily drivers, and only put fuel in when i need it classic has a andyf map, done over 1100 miles on 2.75 tanks of fuel going to south of france in it 3 years ago, cruising at 120km/h on french motorways newage has a prodrive ecu, and can get nearly 400 miles to 1 tank as for insurance, on my 2 cars on multicare policy and not daily drivers grand total of £587 fully comp on both for a year

it is all done to injector times, sitting at 55mph will be around 5ms, according to onboard monitor display, sitting at 80mph with an injector time of 3.4ms wil use less fuel on light throttle than cruising at 55mph, efficinet band of any engine is around 3000rpm, i can get 37mpg sitting at 80mph with an injector time around 3.5ms and nearly 400miles to 1 tank of fuel if i sit at 55mph and drop to 4th gear to bring revs up to around 3000 rpm, my injector time drops to around 3.8ms instead of 5.6ms, thus use less fuel

I wouldn't say an outrage peter, wanted to find out why and why the masses weren't told about it until the things happened and the posts deleted and i have had pm's deleted as well don't agreee with it but they know my feelings about it -

As James has said, he doen't really benefit from the membership, in my eyes why pay for something that you dont get any benefits out of, might as well just give your money away instead or throw it to the wind as he also said why no annoucement prior to what was happening -

it would be nice to know what changes are going to happen first before they happen, so we can make our own minds up first, if willing to stay or move on. as for not renewing the membership, been an active supporter over the years, not intersted in track days, done that for 5 years competeing in the scottish sprint championship, won a few trophies and awards, spent loads doing it, not interested in discounts as you know i get good deals on servicing for my cars, the last show was for the picture for the mag at knockhill hairpin, was actually bored stiff after an hour being there and wanted to f... off but couldnt get out, would have cut my wrists as it would have been better fun dont think the club can offer me anything for the membership, i would have been going to the nurburgring again this year with or without kenny wrx organising it as you know, myself and craig mcd was nearly going to renew membership as he said this now leaves a bitter taste as he has put it -

i had a private message from another user and had it deleted before i could read it, which i am not happy about is the admin now deleteing posts and see they have removed JCscoobs post which i didnt think was blatant trolling with whats happened in the deleting the posts and admin changing posts and deleting pm's and the attitude whch has came accross i'm afraid i WON'Tbe renewing my membership at all, as craig mcd stated, it has left a sour tasted after the conversation we had with robert (sti pretender) when he was getting his car serviced -

As for the benefits the membership brings cheaper trackdays - not interested discounted servicing from dealers - get a good deal in whom i go to cheaper insurance from specialist - cant match the deal i have for 2 cars let alone for 1 car will this club still allow non paid members to attend the monthly meets or this is members only now -

Couldn't agree with you more Frank i have seen a busier graveyard recently, along with what they have done to the for sale section and lack of RO's down south of the border, it does look like the club is on it's knees, and future is not looking good, can see why this BB is dead now, folk going elsewhere -

What's newt, you remove non paid up members posts in for sale section. I heard at a monthly meet, from a committee member there was talk of limiting non paid up members to the number of post they could post in a 24hr period it seethat adolf hilter is alive and well i dont believe this is the right direction for the club, same thing happened to xroc and that folded -
i had an active thread in for sale section posted before the only paid members rule it was going nicely and items going now and then just read the topic on it and dont think it is right what haarm would it do to let it run it's course if the membership is paid does the thread return ?

in warmer drier weather find them great, can push harder on them compared to my toyo t1-r on the classic they tramline very slightly on the road round my area but not too bad, on smooth uncambered roads like going the to the nurburgring last year was great used them in the snow we had there, no problems, never got suck at all, even in heavy water conditions they were not bad
-
been on re070's thro all the weather we have over the last 2 years, cant fault them, been twitchy but controllable
-
