  1. NWH is getting covered with campaign maintenance but don't know who is carrying it out. John.
  2. N-W-H !!!!! thought it was NUI John
  3. As Brian said depends on dealer and how leaniet they are, some are better than others. The basic rule of thumb is you cannot touch your CAT's and induction kits are a no-no panel filters etc are a 10sec change job if you get a problem As the other Brian said anything from Prodrive will not invalidate the warranty as these are backed by Subaru and IM. John.
  4. << Well finally broke my track day viginity (of sorts). Thanks to my work drove round the Rockingham track with a selection of cars. Alls I can say is that basically im cack and I need loads of instruction, but then I do want to do it again ............ so remember........................ Spooks coming to a track near you LOL Spooks >> Precisely the reason I try to stay away from the track days now, highly additive , used to really enjoy the track days in the old 309 just too scared to put the scoob on John.
  5. Matt hoping I was borderline on the reading might have to take a flyby on the bike waving at them sometime John.
  6. Didn't pop into AWF yesterday but was on the bit of road that leads to it, might have got done by the scamera van parked near the roundaboout borderline I think speedo said 82 tomtomgo said 77 have to sit and wait to see the outcome Me thinks they knew Grant was having an open day, the sneaky barstewards :l John.
  7. As for size, basically I would go for something marginally bigger than the stock airbox, basically make it as big as you can but keeping it away from any major heat sources. As for the fixing of it, I'd be inclined to look around the local area and utilize any existing fixing/mounting points or make up some small brackets. John
  8. Christ!!!!! I'll phone Gav later. John
  9. Thought about this on previous cars, how about two sheets of stainless or ally plate then sandwich a heat resistant barrier in between the two of them. You could shape it to your requirements adding ducting etc as required. John.
  10. MC2 multiclean from WaxWizard or CD2 from Halfrauds. Cover all the main electrics, alarms/fuse box etc and cover the IC fins then follow the instructions. John.
  11. Sorry Phil but had to do it Get voting .............. Anyone got 30 secs to vote for the name 'Jim Baxter Bridge'..... Nothing ventured nothing gained. ...see below. The London Development Agency are currently asking for people to vote on the name of a new foot bridge on the site of the new Wembley Stadium. The name has to be something significant to Wembley's past. The Tartan Army are looking to hi-jack the naming, by voting for Jim Baxter on the below link. Reason being his keepy-uppy routine in 67'. A legitimate reason for voting for him is that he is already in the Wembley Hall of Fame. Please pass this email on to as many people as possible. Imagine, a Scottish legend immortalised on the site of the new English national stadium! http://www.lda.gov.uk/server.php?show=ConForm.9 John.
  12. << Nice to see you all fight over your love of me >> Now that is worrying John.
  13. MMmmmmm, tricky one this, personally prefer pic1 Not much in it though. Now the piccy Jamie has posted John.
  14. Family are doing great, little guy is eating like nothing on earth, went from 7lb4 to 11lb7 in 8 weeks John.
  15. Theres one called Bidrobot, costs you a few dollars a year and is seemingly really good, been meaning to get it for a while, I've been beat on 5 things recently by it also hate it when somebody cancels an auction John.
  16. Have to see if I'm home, got a nasty feeling thats the night I'll be heading back up to Aberdeen for going offshore. John.
  17. IIRC the cars from Motorpoint are imported from Cyprus so they are slightly different spec to the UK cars, for one they will not be fitted with the RAC Trackstar. I'm sure there are some other differences also but can't remember them just now. Also regarding the spoiler, the STi has eight bolts fixing the spoiler in place and the WRX low level is fixed with 6 IIRC so there is a good chance you will have two holes in the middle of your boot lid. John.
  18. Yup top lad, had a great time with him at Santa Pod a few years ago very funny, kept us entertained all weekend A great loss to the community John.
  19. << Half the price of Subaru though I spoke to Scott briefly at the Japanese Auto Extravaganza last year - was gonna ask prices then but never did. They are £145 on site - did you manage to get a discount? Wish he'd do a group buy Also, can't be bothered with them getting ripped off - everyones flaps seem to get caught so be careful. Where did you pick up your STI wheels from? Brian >> Brian, don't worry about them getting ripped off, IIRC Scotts flaps (oo'err) and brackets are direct copies of the STi ones and mine have took a beating on speedbumps etc, the fronts scrape on fun driving and going into the garage. John.
  20. Doune, nice venue but point one if it rains the field turns into quagmire trust me from experience also it isn't the motor museum anymore its an arts and crafts type place Dunno much about Blair Drummond Motormania, never been there but the web-site looks good Grant, not trying to be negative matey just going from past experience at Doune. I'll try and rack my brains to see if I can think of anywhere else that might also be suitable. John.
  21. Might be worth trying AGRA race engines, they are based in or around Dundee IIRC. Spooks, what you are saying is right to an extent, ported OEM headers will not work as well as a set of matched tubulars, but there is a significant increase in flow available from opening the ports out slightly and smoothing the ports. John.
  22. Never ever going to another meeting if Brians starting to do this, wouldn't want to incriminate myself John.
  23. Stephen, how long does it take to get there? John.
  24. Might as well as join in
  25. Might be interested in this, just have to see if I'm working or not. They've said the dreaded words though " Lots of Trade stands " John.
