  1. Cool, the more the merrier! Have just sent the following email to my local Westminster MP for Argyl & Bute Alan Reid: Dear Alan Reid, I am writing to you as you are my local MP, I would like to bring your attention to my concerns over the current price of fuel in this country. I like many other people in this country am fed up with having to pay over the odds in Tax for what is to many people and absolute necessity rather than a luxury. We are currently paying two thirds of the price at the pump for our fuel to the Government, we are paying VAT and fuel duty, this is not fair or just and it needs to be abolished. When the fuel price rises, everyone gets hit by it, including those who do not drive because the price of food goes up, the price of clothes goes up, the price of heating goes up, everything that needs to be delivered to a place where we can go and buy it will increase in price because it costs more to get it there in the first place. My Wages do not go up with the price of fuel and the increase in VAT, My average household shopping bill for buying the same goods has risen by over twenty pounds in one week! Last year when the fuel started to creep up in price, I started a Facebook cause page to campaign to force the government to act to keep fuel below £1.00 per litre, when I started this I hoped that I could get enough interest to get 500 people to join so I could start a petition to the government. Currently the membership of this page is more than 270000 people and growing by the second, not the hour but the second. Move the taxes to Fast food outlets and nightclubs and Theatres, these are real Luxury items, Think about the volunteers that help out with soup kitchens, meals on wheels and any other organisation that relies on charitable people, they will not be able to do this if you keep taxing the fuel we need. Please feel free to look over the face book page with the cause and you can see for yourself the response this has had all over the country. http://www.causes.com/causes/434764-k... Yours sincerely, Also sent this to Jackie Baillie MSP, they dont deal with it only at Westminster! Feel free to copy and post to your MP Paul
  2. Im £131.9 for diesel for the Shogun, usually buy V-Power from Dreghorn £132.9 Its a rip off......... rip off Britain, the government is just the scum of the earth in my opinion! The motorist is taxed to the hilt, if they put up any more taxes most people on an average wage (scotland) will not be able to afford to live.
  3. One more to the cause it can only help!
  4. Dont know if any of you chaps are on facebook, there is a petition running on there regarding the fuel price, you may want a look or want to sign the petition if so you will find it here: http://media.causes.com/ribbon/979329
  5. Nice Classic, very tempting!
  6. The white one is no V-LTD STi as there were none made for that year! Only V-Ltd WRX like mine, which started production in 1995 and ended in 1995. It has no V-Ltd seats, badges or Ltd car number. I wouldnt personally trust someone who has a disclaimer stating : Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the above information but errors may occur. Please check with a salesperson. Pays to do your research before you advertise. In my opinion I doubt it is what they say it is and I wouldnt touch it with a bardge pole!
  7. Heres a link which tells you the model of the car and the engine type, check this against the vin plate of the V-Ltd, should be: Applied model-GC8C48D (For it to be an STi the last 8 in this number would in fact have to be an E,an RA it would be 7) Engine Type-EJ20G DW5HE The car also came with a Z4 ecu which was equivalent to a Prodeive PPP and the car was actually 270bhp! http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/wrx.html
  8. The year is wrong for the white car it says 1998 should be 1996! I had a WRX V-Ltd of that year there are pictures on here of the car somewhere, see my avitar! The V-ltds of that year had a WRC Winners badge on the boot and embosed into the seats(so the seats are wrong), also had the Cars ltd no on the boot as well, mines was .......... Im not 100% sure but I think there were 500 white & 500 mica blue!

  12. Hi guys, my rear diff temp warning light comes on from cold & goes off intermitently when car is warm. Is it a dodgey sensor, loose wire, will resetting the ecu help? Car has recently had its 30k mile service so all oils just changed! Any thoughts appreciated. Cheers WJ

  20. have a look here http://www.svaimports.com/cars.php?make=Subaru most of these are fresh imports from Japan, you probably wouldnt go wrong buying one from here. Look on Kent Scoobies for info on SVA imports. They are based in Dover, if they have the right car for you then it is worth the journey. (I know of them as I used to live in Canterbury) FYI, my classic was still running approx 400bhp with 125k miles on the clock when I sold it! (Jap Import) Good luck with the hunt. WJ
  21. Hmmm, hello newbie. Watch out for Richie's blue flashing light!
  22. Had all mine removed on MY Classic and it made no difference to me, in fact it was Subaru who removed the first one that went. Saved a bit of weight! WJ
