  1. Big Phil is the man even if he talks too much!
  2. TBH I heard a squealing sort of noise when going round roundabouts, thought it was the front driveshaft, didnt look at the wheel!
  3. Was pointed out to me today by those nice chaps at RA Motorsport!
  4. Guess you can add them to the list! Paint or powder coating............answer has to be paint! At least with paint your life is not put in danger! If this is a common problem with alloy wheels surely this practice should be banned or is it bad workmanship?
  5. Urban Grey Hawk m8! Was with Black Enkie STi wheels!
  6. Thanks to the guys at RA Motorsport today especially the big chap, if he hadnt noticed my wheel being broken in three places who knows what could have happened. Thanks Guys
  7. Got my Hawk back yesterday from RA, had the geometry re done and the car is driving like a classic. Never really been confident with the handling but now its excellent. Big thanks guys, as usual a job well done!
  8. Cheers, Just had it back from its 40k mile service from RA Motorsport! Would it be safe to drive it there?
  9. My check engine light has come on in my Hawk, where do I start?
  10. Think thats the same as mine looked at the snow setting for the rear!
  11. Had a look on the door sticker for tyre pressure today and it says (2.3 bar)33psi front (2.1 bar)30psi rear!
  12. Finally got my black powder coated wheels on! Big thanks to Perth Powder Coatings at only £40 per wheel! Also big thanks go to Andy at RA Motorsport for painting my centre caps. Free KFC coming your way......when I get a miunte to get up! Thanks to all!
  13. The Geo was set up by some chap over in Renfrew ( profesional setup does rally cars) it has also been corner weighted!
  14. Usually gives the PSI settings in the doors on my Classic defo 33 32 (jap Import) dont know if that makes a difference. Cause the Hawk is heavier at the front I put it up a notch, rear defo seams soft. Even tyre wear when running 32/33 rears! Just my experiance's over the years!
  15. 33 all round, on the classic it used to be 32 33 never had any wear issues then, have used Toyos since 2004 but defo not working on the Hawk!
  16. It was mate, took my car in for a service last year only had the tyres 2 months and they commented how they were wearing on the insides. So that was from say April last year until Jan this year! When I took them off they were worn on the inside through to the canvas, the rest of the tyre had even wear on it. Defo think its a weight thing!
  17. I always found the Toyos to be a great all year round tyre(brilliant in the wet superb in the dry), bought a set of winter wheels this year with goodyear snow (winter tyres) when I took my wheels of to replace them the Toyos were trashed on the inside of both tyres. Now purchased goodyear asymetrics which I was told to buy in the first place, general opinion is the side walls of the Toyo are too soft for the Hawk!
  18. Try Ace ting_tong! Just a point of caution, I had a set on my Hawk and it destroyed them, Hawk seems to be too heavy at the front........I didnt believe it, thought it was a rumour but I do now!
  19. No worries mate, seemed to have done the trick!
