  1. Definitely time for a set of APs or equivalent
  2. I've heard a few who have done the strip and pe-pack the grease fix, and it seems to work just fine. Much cheaper than buying new shocks.
  3. All the best Paul. I'd just like to add my personal thanks for all the effort you have put in since taking on this role, and of course the assistance at the Knockhill trackdays. Hope you will keep in touch with everyone and look forward to seeing you again at some point in the future. John
  4. Looks like you had fun and the car is still one piece and running. Good overall result given the issues with the car and lack of on track development time. I trust you have plans for the winter now
  5. All the best Neil. What did you opt for as a replacement? See you at the next trackday hopefully
  6. That really s*cks
  7. I was looking for another date around November, but saw that Adam & Fee had booked the 14th. There isn't enough demand for track events at that time of year (a lot of the RWD/open top cars go into hibernation when it's cold and wet ) to risk us both having one within weeks of each other. December is a non-start as everyone is out at office parties and saving money for Xmas pressies. I would recommend booking the track Scotland one, as it is run in the same way as ours with many of the same drivers.
  8. Are you going to rebuild this engine again and use as a backup?
  9. Great results Arch Looking forward to a full season next year? Sorry I couldn't make it up this time - had some domestic stuff to sort out John
  10. Your EVO was amazingly quick yesterday Eddie!
  11. I've added my photos from the event here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnsidc/sets...57622288605257/
  12. Nice footage - seems a lot faster looking rearward Pity about you having to finish early, as the car seemed to be going extremely well
  13. Might try and pop up on Sunday then , got Knockhill tomorrow.
  14. Are you taking part at Boyndie this weekend?
  15. Scottish Elises Forums
  16. Congratulations!
  17. I had mine set-up at Wallace Performance. Job well done and reasonably priced. It helps that they are only a 5 minutes walk from my office though, so was able to drop the car off, and pick it up later.
  18. Looks fab
  19. Awesome!! Great write-up, and you are very lucky indeed! Hope to see you and your car back in action at Knockhill soon John
  20. Absolutely superb shots Col Worth the suburn I would say.
  21. It will no doubt turn out to be something very simple in the end. I hope you have a nice courtesy car in the meantime?
  22. You don't need an assistant by any chance
  23. Donald - if you aren't going to Boyndie, then SIDC have a track event on the 19th September from 9am to 1pm. MLR members can take part at the same rates as SIDC members and it would be great to see your car around the track John
  24. Should be a very exciting finale to the season. I'm hoping to get along to a couple of them if I can
  25. Mikey - we have run mid-week events in the past, though not for about 6 years now. In fact we started off by doing 6-8pm mid week events over 10 years ago Whilst some people can take a day's holiday/sicky for a track day, not everyone can and over the course of a year it would account for 4 or 5 day's holiday. In the past for mid week events we had less people taking part to spread the cost over, so the savings on a mid-week event were negligible, maybe £10 per person. Overall, although we were a few people short of break even point on Saturday, over the course of the 4 events this year things will hopefully balance out OK A similar things happened the last time we ran an event in August, with many regulars away on holiday and other events so we'll simply give August a miss next year Looking forward to seeing lots of people at our next event on the 19th September. John
