Am itching to get over the 300BHP mark with my car without changing the turbo. Any suggestions how i may get the extra 10-15 BHP. Thought about sti intercooler and scoop with water spray !!!! but not sure if this would help or just keep things cooler..

Not to be rude but they have decided that its fine without actually knowing if it is or not. Does anyone who replied know the actual technical reason why this happens. Anyway I forgot about this thread. The day i went to AndyF I asked why this happened to my car. He explaind it in a way that i no longer needed to worry about it, but in such a way i didnt really understand. I have forgotten why as i didnt worry about it but am sure he will explain it if you ask him.

Is there not a problem with the possibility of the flexi on headers blowing out when you up the power, thats what i was told anyway.

Had this problem in my last house. Had BT broadband, crackly line and kept cutting out. Went through a few filters and even a new modem. Apparantly if you have two many phone lines off one filter it causes a problem. i.e a socket at the front door with one filter and every other phone in the house off that filter. Dont forget to use a filter near the sky box if thats connected to the phone. In this house its the same BT broadband service but with no problems. Its a different type of modem and different filters. Have only one phone connected as the rest are cordless. It has never cut off once and the line doesnt crackle. Anyway if you have the option then get cable.

I understand what your saying, but perhaps if you compared a properly prepared MK2 Escort to a properly prepared Subaru Impreza then the the list of mods would be similar. Am sure after a shot in a race spec subaru you would be saying it was the best car you has ever driven. As you say "it could just be that it does what it does so easily, and I suppose that?s a compliment to modern engineering" is quite true and thats why i didnt buy another family car and hate driving Lyndseys brick (fait stilo).

Laser detectors dont really work that well. They do detect the laser but the laser gun will have caught you speeding before you have time to apply the brakes. It depends on the laser deflecting off a car in front of you and the detector picking it up through the windscreen. At close range you would need a detector down near the numberplate not on the dash board.

Laser jammers are not currently illegal aslong as they are being used for the purpose they are intended i.e opening garage doors or switching on security lights. I have only read this but supposedly If a speed camera van reads an error when he trys to clock your speed this is recorded. After a certain amount of errors they may come knocking on your door looking for a wee box on your bumper. Have a road angel 2. I have pased many speed vans but i have only heard the laser detector go off once. I wasnt speeding and it was at least a mile away. I was lucky as usually if u hear it you have already been caught speeding and its just to remind you theres a ticket on its way. Go for a jammer and spend the extra on the other bit to work the light on front door of your house.

theres so many stone chips on my car it just looks normal now. dont know anything about painting so cant help. Tell the guy to stick the sellotape up his arse and fix them, ill lend you some tape that is so sticky it should definately bring it off if there is something wrong.
