Not sure Spooks. Found these while searching for a reason/solution if anyone is interested: Ecutek Text Anyone else got any advice what to do ?? Can i just get it removed, fit the resistor, and forget about the EGT Sensor, or should I fit a gauge to monitor it ??

Got this fault code last Friday, had the ECU reset to see if it would come on again and it has. Can anyone tell me if this is happening because there is no cats or is it more likely to be a fault with the sensor rather than what the sensor is reading ? P0546 Exhaust Gas Temp Sensor Circut Malfunction (High Input) Any help much appreciated before getting it off to a garage. Al

Problem is it was fitted before the remap and is still on now. I like the sound too much. Does this mean that my car will be overfueling just now. If so i will have to get one of these 3 bar MAP sensors. Never heard of them before but thats not suprising as i didnt even know where the turbo was when i first bought the car Am sure there is a lot of people with a VTA without anything like this fitted.

Do i need one if the car has been remaped ????????????????????

Jamie, any further explanitation on what a 3bar map sensors is and if i need one. Is it required if running a VTA with the car remaped ???

Just go buy one, you wont regret it. It does cost a bit extra to run over a normal car but worth it in the end. At least it will hold its valve better than most other cars that you would loose a few grand on instantly. Remember to include for modding costs as well even if you say you wont I spend about an extra £50 a week on petrol taking my car insted of my girlfriends 1.8 stilo. Its worth it in smile factor. Having clocked up arround 20000 miles in 7 and 1/2 months I am suprised I didnt get an invitation to the local shell garage christmas night out. Get along to the meet next week and enjoy the banter. If you aint wanting the PMs then switch it off. Its easy for people to type pish at a computer but most wont be so talkative when you are standing infront of them.
