  3. Dougster I touch goats mate
  4. Cheers Dougster, I'm in the first picture (HF51***) Infact I was the first piccy in the last trackday thread you did (now my PC wall paper at work!) I think 'lunch' was about 2-2.30pm (all day ticket) so wasn't too disapointed. Good to talk to you too St3ph3n, hope you had a good day, will have to take you for a spin next time, had a co-pilot and a couple of visitor passengers plus a full flask of tea to drink so didn't have a lot of time TTFN
  5. Another big thanks to John for organising yet another exellent trackday Some really tasty motors, my personal favourite being the aforementioned Fiesta. Wow what a power delivery, didn't know Ford did warp drive! Unfortunately I managed to lunch my gearbox coming out of the hairpin (yes thats what the loud bang was ) Third gear no more! Luckily I was able to nip into the pit lane so as not to hold up proceedings. Gearbox got me home on the 'remaining' 4 gears though with some rather interesting 'percussion' acompaniment On the bright side, I've just finished rebuilding a JDM 6 speed which was going in soon anyway Had a great time regardless of the weather and mechanical probs. Can't wait till 'next season' Some nice pictures, will have to get some lessons on how to work my digital camera one day!
  6. With some spirited driving you could use a tank full, however its best not to let the tank drop below 1/4 or you risk fuel starvation. Fuel will slosh around much more on the track than on road which can lead to the pump pickup momentarily being starved. There is a Shell station 10 mins from the track so don't worry.
  7. Air con? Trace it back and see if it goes to the compressor, or is it the vacuum supply for the brake servo?
  8. Nice one mate, seems I won't be pulling away from you on the straights for much longer You seem to be well on the way down the slippery 'modding' slope now! A drop of 3 in 1 oil in the wallet helps the cash slide out a bit easier
  9. You lot are all 'Hoff your rocker'
  10. << Yeh, you canny beat un filtered air getting forced into your engine and then fed with NOS straight from the can with no extra fueling!! >> Second that, plus how risky spraying NO2 around the workshop next to a sparky old leaf blower!!!! Clowns
  11. An excellent 'signiture' for Scottish Scoobies. Nice one
  12. << It certainly did the job at the weekend anyway!! >> Well, up to a point
  13. I was just talking about them at work the other day! One of those 'do you remember' conversations one has as you get older Right, need to find an all night confectioner
  14. Cash whizzing through the ether as we speak
  15. Suspension is Cusco coilovers with adjustable platforms (go as low as you want!) SPEC
  16. Yep,that was me
  17. Yes, I'd be up for this one too.
  18. Turns out the MAP sensor was goosed. Phew £50 max. Probably one of the cheapest bills I've ever had for the Subaru!
  19. Thanks mate, will forward the information to mechanic, it will help with diagnosis.
  20. Sorry to all at Knockhill for holding up the proceedings somewhat today. I was very aware of time constraints. Car just cut out at the end of the pit straight. Front towing eye is obscured by intercooler so had to get towed off backwards too, oh the humiliation Fortunately no problems with RAC who have transported the car for repair. Seems to be some electrical/ fuel glitch as car was trying to start. All the expensive bits ok
  21. Try and find a piece of pipe that slips over the centre part of the 'nut' Then using a hacksaw cut two 'teeth ' onto the end of the pipe. This may require a bit of trimming and filing until the teeth engage in the slots of the 'nut' Then it may be possible to by gripping the pipe with a stilson wrench (or similar) to remove the nuts. If your really struggling I could possibly machine a bar for the same purpose. I'll be at Knockhill on Sunday.
  22. Wow, don't think you could get another bolt under that bonnet
  23. << Its for sale i wonder what the price is 60k or more >> Rumour has it 200k nearer the mark Related
  24. << Ordering from us is safe and easy! Just enter the desired quantity of the fuel you need, and we'll package it up and send it to you in the post, first class, delivered straight through your letterbox. No hassle. No worries. >> Just leave a basin inside the door and hope the postmans not a smoker
