Mine derived from a George Formby film. I love flying and aim to obtain my people (Private Pilot Licence). Many years ago I watched a George Formby film where he was a pilot and his call sign was Bluebottle. Ever since then I have used Bluebottle as my internet name, however due to security restrictions on the net I found many web sites didn't allow Bluebottle (why I don't know!) so I always use Bluebotle which they accept. So it's not because I can't spell lol

Cost made the decision for me. To have it decatted it would have cost me £250 for the decat pipe and £700 for the Remap plus labour (Approx £1200) I bought a 2nd hand CAT from Ebay for £35 and Got it installed today for £180 Much cheaper lol Wish I could have had it decatted though.

I've just had my CAT fitted and can't believe how quiet my engine is now. I had a vibrating rattle when the engine revved. As it's progresively got worse over time I didn't realise how loud it became. Now it's back to how it should be the car feels like new again! I just need new Tyres now and some more STi Struts (Again!!)

A Plan gave me a quote which beat Tesco's £837. They quoted my £795 and that is with Protected NCB which Tesco doesn't have. The only problem I have is when you pay monthly as I do, the interest makes the A Plan payments slightly higher than compared to Tesco pay monthly, so I'm sticking with Tesco. Also they didn't include Jenni which Tesco did. Always worth a try.

Got my renewal from Tesco today and was quoted £1044. After informing them the Car is now Garaged and that I qualify for the Multi vehicle discount (My Wifes car is insured with Tesco) I managed to get the insurance down to £915. 5 Years NCB and I'm 31. Then the most unbelievable thing happened, I asked out of interest how much it would be for my Wife to be added and insured who is 28 with 5 Years NCB. They said it would be £837 to which I replied on top of my quote??? They said no it is reduced to that as we offer a discount if you insure your spouse too! So i've reduced it from £1044 to just £837. Keith Micheals on SIDC quoted me £946. Very pleased with the Tesco Quote. Cheers Lee

I have been a plus points card holder for 6 months or so and only purchased V Power Fuel or (Opitmax when it was available). I thought having a shell points card and meeting the threshold for the V Power club mean't I was already in the V Power club but after today I recieved a welcome pack in the post with a new V Power Club Card. Other than that I can't see any difference although I get 2.5 points per litre now. Cheers Lee

I have just bought a brand new one on Ebay for £35. Thanks anyway Andy. There £600 new from a dealer. Bargin, the ebay shop said they removed it from a brand new STi who decatted the car. Just need to pay £250 to install it.

Hi, Anyone got a spare standard Downpipe CAT for sale? Mine has started to vibrate inside and Prosport in Stockport has said it was the CAT causing the noise. I have given a decat option much thought but simply can't afford the £1200 fee (Decat Pipe and Re-Map). I have no doubt it is the best choice to go for due to the extra power gains but the £1200 fee is out of my reach. With this in mind I am looking to buy a second hand CAT for a 52 Plate STI.
