  1. It's very annoying when Members of the same club (SIDC) activley try to put people off joining another section of the same club. I agree that every one has their own taste and some people like to drive their scooby in convoy all the time at local meets (probably faster than the speed limit) and some like to actually meet other like minded people, discuss car related problems, experiences and attend fantasic events like the Trackrod rally and Japfest. CADS in my opinion fits the bill perfectly for my taste. We meet every month, we share; information, items of interest, car parts, meet other interested parties and have a good pub lunch. On the frequent occasion we drive in convoy to local car specialists (Alunox etc.) and give our drives out a meaningful purpose. I drive my car every day for work, by doing this, we save putting extra miles on our precious cars and actually build up good relationships with like minded people. I imagine SMACS do something similar, anyone that are unsure which section to join, my philosophy in life is try it out yourself! Use facts to make an informative decision!
  2. Looks brilliant, my Ben & Toby would love that. Cheers Lee

  5. Hi, I can convert any Video VHS tape into a digital file using some hard ware I purchased a while ago. I have managed to back up all my tapes on to disks now The old top gear isn't as good as now, but it makes very interesting viewing. Especially the hot hatch age! which I may have somewhere. My aim is to put them on my Website, although it has limited space and therefore only one at a time can be placed. I'll try to purchase more space. dependign on the price. I'll keep you up to date. Cheers Lee

  7. Hi, Bob I'll pop the DVD in the post to you sometime this week. Sorry for the delay in replying, I have been filling a skip with the rubish out of my garage. Amazes me how quick it fills up. No sooner did Rick's car leave my garage had it filled up with boxes, carpets etc. No wthat's done roll on the kitchen floor replacement Jenni has instore for me! I'll try to send it tomorrow Bob. I'll throw in another DVD with the original Top Gear's from 1985 onwards. Very interesting viewing, especially the episode when Unleaded Fuel was the future and one day soon we MAY have to use it. It talks about the converstion to make the car use it. Funny really, all the old cars are brand new! looks strange and funny enough even though they were brand new on the show they still looked like they were going to break down. Cheers Lee
  8. I don't think they work. Funny thing is, the company I work for are informing all of its employees.

  10. I love the second one, don't know if it works though but always worth knowing.
  11. THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILEPHONE COULD DO... I personally like the locked car keys scenario and the extra battery life! The first point everone knows! JONAH may need the second point one day. (as we found out in Yorkshire) Have fun Lee There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: - *EMERGENCY* *I* * The Emergency Number worldwide for **Mobile** is 112 .* If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. **Try it out.** *II* * Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?* This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a Mobile phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"* *III* Subject: Hidden Battery power Imagine your cell battery is very low, you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time. AND*IV* How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

  20. Strange, it's just a WMV file so your Windows Media Player should work. In any case, I'll put the video on DVD which will be far better quality. The Original file has a 15mbit/sec quality at 720 x 576 resolution the same as your TV. Cheers Lee
  21. Listen to this engine, reckon it will last long without the run down?
  22. hehe if so I may sell mine and use torches strapped to the holes left behind instead []
  23. Watch the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBHfIQn43-I Strange sounding dump valve, is it a waste gate noise found on rally cars??
  24. Are you sure they didn't do an 03 S202. That's two we have seen and they both look the same. Roof vent and spolier, just missing the exhaust and oil cooler. On the link above directing you to Autotrader I see there is a yellow S202 Bugeye. The side skirts on that are small aren't they and that doesn't seem to have the exhaust and oil cooler or Spoiler in fact. Did they make many varients of the S202? Maybe that's why some are different than others.
  25. Missing the oil cooler?
