  7. Excellent Video, good quality too. What's that you have got on the front of your Car Rasher? Did you drive over a white bin bag?
  8. That got your attention didn't it!! [] Selling our house, keeping the car! Jenni's mum & dad are moving house and we are buying their's which is bigger and is great news [] but dosn't have a useable garage though [:'(] It's one of them isn't it, there is always a compromise when doing these things. The house has everything else, bigger garden, more rooms, more living space, new kitchen, bathroom etc.. but no garage! Well it has half a garage! Good news is it's 3mins walk from where I live now. Just need to sell mine now, been on the market for 1 day and already got a viewer today. I suspect the estate agents send someone round being a cynical person that I sometimes am, to make you have good first impressions. Cheers Lee
  9. lol, They must of been mad though, it's like the Burnout game but in real life!!
  10. I'll be at the meet on the 20th, looking forward to it. Cheers Lee
  11. Amazing results, looks like it's been painted hehe. I bet your arms are aching now aren't they!
  12. Hi Bob, Hope your well. The car is starting to feel a little better now I have driven 100miles since the work. It still suffers from later boost than normal but I think it's actually lowering. It started out at 4500rpm before the boost came in, but now it's more like 3900rpm. Still higher than standard but it's coming down [] I spoke to Prosport the day after, who have been very good and very customer friendly [Y] Peter said the car had an ECU reset which is part of the 60k Mile service. It clears any faults etc that the car may have been logging since new. The Boost problem could be attributed to either a different Up-Pipe which may have changed the cars performance (hopefully for the better) or it could be learning the timing settings etc changing the multipliers? Not quite sure what the multipliers are or what effects an ECU rest has but I hoping it will go back to normal soon. Peter has been very good and invited me to his garage next week to have the ECU checked using EcuTeck? he can check the Multipliers he said. Following his conversation I said I would run it for a little while, say a week and see how it goes and then pay a visit if it doesn't change. In all honesty they had real problems with my exhaust pipe they charged me 5 hours labour but can tell you that they actually spent 2 days removing the pipework. (Siezed Studs) I have got to say though even though the boost is later than normal it feels very fast now [] I don't seem to have the major lag as I did before. The car before had loads of lag up to 2850rpm then loads of boost. Now it feels like I have normal car power upto 3900rpm then loads of boost. So in essence it may be faster now as the car gets to the boost faster, if that makes sense! It feels less savage the power now:- Before: Lag, Lag, Loads of Power!! Now: Power, Power, Power, Loads of Power!! (Smoother feel) I'll see how it goes now, I will probably feel better though if the Boost was more like 3250rpm. Anyone know what Multipliers are? Cheers Lee
  13. Looking at the pics just above this post, I would say the top pic isn't a Prodrive STi and the bottom pic is?? Lee
  14. Look out for knocking Suspension Struts and Un-even tyre wear. They are renown for Knocking Struts and will set you back at least £1500 for standard Subaru replacements or you could buy after market a lot cheaper for say £500. The battery will probably need replacing soon as did mine, the 4 year lifespan of a battery may be up. Other than that unless the car has been driven hard it shouldn't have any problems. I have just had to have my Turbo Up-Pipe replaced due to rattling heat sheilds. Check for the usual Brake wear and warped disks on the front, if it's been on a track it could be showing signs of heavy braking. Check clutch operation too, quick 4000 rpm starts kill them. Hope I'm not putting you off, Just trying to give you a good idea of what could go wrong, the car may be pefectly maintained. Cheers Lee
  15. Yep, Definely a Bug Eye STi with the Prodrive Performance Pack installed at Build. Looks in good condition that I would question the BHP it should be 305 BHP then again they never were even after the PPP was installed. Becareful too, the 60K Mile service which I have just done on mine costs £405! Cheers Lee
  16. Hi Peter, I have a standard WRX STi 52 plate (Bug Eye). The way I see it is this, you have 4 versions (apart from the specials) WRX 220bhp WRX PPP 245bhp? STi 265bhp STi PPP 305bhp WRX and WRX PPP I believe look the same as each other with the mods being concentrated on the engine. The Standard STi has the same size and shape side skirts as the WRX but are colour coded. It also has the same front bumper and rear bumper however the grill is quite different on the STi which has a red STi on the right hand side. The WRX version has twin exhaust as standard whereas the STi has one 3" exhaust embosed with STi. The STI has Red intake manifold and a larger intercooler with STi printyed on it. The Bonet Vent is also bigger than the WRX version. The STi comes equipped with an intercooler spray which the WRX version doesn't and the main difference is the STI has 6 speed gears and the WRX has 5 speed. The STi PPP has different shaped side skirts that flare out at the front than the STi and WRX version with a slightly bigger front spoiler which has wrap around front spot light covers which are different than the square spot light covers found on the WRX and STi version. The PPP version also has a larger Hi Rise Spoiler with a brake light within it. The PPP pack also included Blue dials on the dash. Not sure about the older STi's the above is common from 2001 - 2005? models Cheers Lee
  17. WOW check this new technology out, very impressive, I could see where my wife was earlier today. The website allows you to input your mobile phone and using cell info it tells you where they are!! http://www.sat-gps-locate.com/english/index.html Cheers Lee
  18. Yeah, gonna give him a call first thing to check it out. I am wondering if it's a characteristic of the new Up-Pipe but then again it's just a new pipe replacing an old pipe. Original pipe didn't have a CAT like the WRX model so it shouldn't make a difference. I wonder if they have missed connecting a small tube to the turbo or could the ECU have been reset and need to adjust itself? I'll hopefully find out tomorrow. Cheers Lee
  19. Just got my car back [] Prosport have done an excellent job and came within budget thankfully. One thing I have noticed though now is since I received it, having had a 60k mile service and a Hayward & Scott Up-Pipe fitted the car's boost seems to be later than before. It used to come in at around 3000 rpm and now it's more like 4250 rpm. Is that attributed to the Up-Pipe? or is there a setting on the car somewhere that changes it? They also changed a PCM valve that allows the carbon gases to flow into the Inlet manifold. The car feels fast but unsure about the late boost, it doesn't seem quite as savage as it did before. Please help! Lee
  20. My car has been in Prosport now since last Friday. It went in for a 60k mile service £403 and a new up-pipe to be fitted. It turns out they didn't have any in stock so it has been in since then. Expect to get it back tomorrow (I Hope) they have had trouble removing the studs on the turbo. They quoted me £240 for Labour and £120 for the pipe. Hope it's still the same costs [] I'm expecting to pay in total £763. Cheers Lee
  21. Hi and Welcome! Nice Scooby you have, I too like the Hawkeye model, got to admit it took me some time but now after seeing the WRC Car I think it is the best one! I was going to buy an ST220 instead of the Scoob. What is the performance like compared to the scoob now that you have driven them both? I like your 5 turbo too, I was always amazed at how quick those were for a 1.4. When I had my 205 GTi 1.9 I always wanted a 5 Turbo then.
