You'll be pleased to know it is absolutely BELTING down here so sitting in the hotel listening to the rain try to drown out the continuous repetition of Elton Johns' Greatest Hit(s)!!!! Oh for a thunderstorm!
Some superb roads over here - a Scottish Scoobies holiday would be good [] See you when I get back.

Not sure if it will be any cheaper but I'd imagine an ECUTEK remap would allow the mapper more control than a piggyback?
Jamie HI SOOB had a Unichip on his Bugeye WRX - he will be able to say more []

Mis-timed with Stephens - DOH []

Thinking entirely in terms of price versus depreciation. £16 for a brand new car, with 2.5 engine and facelift versus car with blobeye front, 2 litre, a year old and already lost £6k?? Also a euro import 2.5 will come with the Subaru Pan European warranty.

Right im looking for some advice on buying a WRX.
I have a 2005 Mini Cooper S at the moment and im looking for more performance/ better handleing 4 doors etc
So can someone asnwer the following for me,
Whats the MPG like? cant be much worse that the 26 to 28 mpg the mini gets?
Can EASILY be worse if driven hard - 28MPG is usually the best they see.
So what is the better buy?
A 200 05 or 55 WRX 2.0 from a Subaru dealer for £15K to 16K?
or
A 2006 56 Import WRX 2.5 for £16k?
A 2006 56 Import is well best if you like the looks - better for resale, cheaper in the first place and the depreciation will not be as heavy.
Also if you buy an Import do you still need to fit a CAT1 alarm to it?
Cat 1 Alam and Immobiliser TOAD Ai606 - £250 fitted with Thatcham certificate.
I dont know what way to jump but the car would be used every day covering around 14000 miles a year and kept for 3.
Any opinions or thoughts are most welcome
Thanks
Alan

Hi,
Where did you get that "decal" on the back of your car, and is it easy to "de-badge" the boot?
Cheers..
Allan

Can't argue with white wheels [] [] Will look the business []

Very well thank-you Peter...
When I drive it tonight on a few pitch black back roads (need PIAA's for that really) I realise why I love Impreza's so much. The car sounds amazing, has way more performance than I dare try on the road and is slowly but surely getting there. Just brakes and a few other bits to do but the parts are in the post - thanks to A S Perormance for that one, once again []
How is your car doing Peter?

Great I would assume - but I was not up in the Scooby - no decent fuel for it. Just in the door and I had done just over 600 miles so that would have been at least 3 fill-ups in the Impreza with crap fuel []
