Finally got my Gus the bus rear stut brace fitted, toke just over an hour to do most of that was taking the rear seats and trim out. After that installation is pretty straight forward much like the front strut brace, though i would recommentd to any one doing this to remove the seat belt tensior unit makes getting into the bolts so much eaiser. Inital reports is the car feels a lot more planted on the road with a much greater reduction in roll. will give a thourgh test tommorow up some country roads Another Gus the bus statisfied customer Bandit
Probably in the mind that your car is handling better[]
It was for me - when I fitted the front brace on my newage it made virtually no difference. I removed it and sold it. Extreme Motorsport told me the newage is so stiff as a shell that it barely would benefit unless Carbon Fibre - they said all I was doing was plcing extra stress on my components by stiffening them up and removing sometimes necessary flex for normal road driving. However, for a classic they recommended lots of upgrade as the shell is nowhere near as stiff.

Oh dear - waste of a nice golf there []

I would go standard Subaru discs (that is what the Pagids and Ferrodo's were designed to work with according to A S P) or get a set of Brembo discs - grooved discs are more prone to warping apparently and drilled discs to cracking under heavy load.

Yep - ordered some stuff from them the other day - excellent as usual :

Ferrodo DS2500 or the slightly more expensive Pagid RS 4.2.1 (I use these) - both highly recommended but when you are going to buy, make sure you call Alyn at A S Performance - many of us will testify we have never found cheaper prices or better service outside trade price.

Its' because some "neds" can buy them now @ £2k + - however, there are many so called "neds" who could splash out £27k on a new one in a sniff. Its' all about attitude.
I would ignore them - they don't know much about the cars. Unless you have all the neds adornments on your car - whatever they may be...[]

True - also the bling factor as the newage STI ones are very light Carbon Fibre.
