I first saw Colin when i was about 13, he was rallying a Sierra Cosworth in a small event near Pitlochry. I cycled up into the forrests to watch and still have an old picture i took of him tearing past nearly running over my bike! I followed his career ever since and made sure my first real performance car was a Subaru, just because that was 'his' car. A true legend, icon, role model. The world will never forget his flamboyant driving style giving it 100% at all times. Sorely missed, R.I.P Colin-Johnny-Ben-Graeme.

Just saw you all on BBC1, They had a minutes silence at knockill today, a lot of his friends work there everybody is in shock.

Gutted, really gutted. Met the great man plenty times, a proper sportsman, a great loss to world motorsport and his family Off to knockhill for the motor racing in a moment, i'm sure the mood will be very sombre. R.I.P Colin .

Remember this isnt open pit like SIDC days, you will prob have to queue for quite a while between sessions. Will be the usual selection of binners on track to keep everyone entertained although KH have clamped down a fair bit on the nutters! just watch out as some of these heaps can shift! After 2 months of solid 12hr shifts in 100+degree heat down in Louisiana the company flew us home through New york with a couple of nights stopover. What a place! Fantastic although need about a week to see it all.Heres a few pics- Nice hawkeye on 5th Avenue- 2 door badged as a 2.5RS- battered cop car- top of empire state building- ground zero- times square cop shop- times square- entertaining the local females!! scottish accent works a treat!! They are plugging the new WRX all the time on the TV over here in the US just now. Looks pretty awful in the adverts, reminds me of a Saab! Have only seen a handful of subarus since i've been here and only 2 were turbo's, a blobeye and a wreck of a bugeye.

Dont even think about using a Type r as a long journey car it will drive you insane and bankrupt you with fuel costs! I used my old one for 6 months commuting 100 miles round trip. The short ratio gearbox is a pain on the motorway, a complete hooligan on back roads though!

not many warranty claims will add up to 10k! If anyobdy is in the market for a quick 4 door car then they would be mad to overlook motorpoints price...dodgy warranties or not! Its a complete steal, you'd be struggling to get a hot hatch for that price. What are 2nd hand ones going to be worth in 2 years time?

no i'd rather spend another 10k and get a 'limited edition' one with with cheap looking alloys and some plastic add ons thank you

I am in the same boat, not sure what to buy next. A E46 M3 and Evo are also on my shortlist. Afraid to buy the M3 incase i dont like it as it may be a bit too refined for me! prefer something a bit more hardcore like an evo 8. Dont really want another scoob, the hawkeye doesnt really float my boat and they are dare I say it common! flame suit on!! Decisions decisions!
