  1. Looks good Ross. Car looks the part. Next will be performance mods, the slippery slope is looming large.
  2. If there was enough space we did Imy. Or we just parked on the tarmac behind that.
  3. I remember the day this post went up for some reason. I know it started as a top 15, then went into works cars and regular punters cars, but it's just a good laugh to see how you stack up against everyone I think. I'll change the thread title though so that everyone comes in. And the award for slowest terminal goes to me. []
  4. 2.5 just gives you an extra half litre to play with. Turbo back system with just a sports cat (still legal with that) would be about £600. £100 for an Upipe. £500 for a remap. Maybe another £70 for a fuel pump. You'd get near 300bhp and 300lb/ft of torque with that on a 2.5 I'd imagine. Yes the warranty does kind of go out the window, but it's easy enough to get it back to standard should issues occur. If you do go down the power route then weigh up the options carefuly, because there's some people out there with PPP who are regretting buying it (some got it free mind you) and wanting more. Consult someone with more sense than me for a start. []
  5. PPP = Waste of money. For the same dosh you can get plenty more horses, and a much nicer sound. Oh and my car with £400 worth of exhuast mods was 3-1 against CraigWRX who has PPP at Crail. Craig can drive, and we were both getting similar launches and reaction times, so either he was pussying about changing gears (admittedly he missed third once) or I was getting more top end grunt.
  6. Congrats Dave. Now what's your official title. I have Highlands and Aberdeenshire as one region and then put you in as Inverness. So have I to change Aberdeenshire to one region and then "the highlands" as yours?
  7. That Evo honestly was standard as far as I saw. I think it was a RS which means it's stripped out like the RA Impreza, and as we saw - they're quick.
  8. Next time we'll get my wee camera hooked up to a proper car. I will get some more practice in and sort out my technical issues first. Or I could just build mine to run Sub 12s and sicken the lot of you. That's not gonna happen though.
  9. Aye. I seem to have gone missing when everyone was taking the pictures.
  10. Fixed. Now leave it alone you crazies.
  11. I have droplinks on mine and they were very good. AFAIK the STI comes with solid links so might not need them. Someone can maybe answer. ARB and ALK are supposed to be very good mods too. Make sure you get a good geometery setup too or they'll all go to waste.
  12. Oh, she's a beauty. A nice eaton supercharger strapped to that. Mmmmmmmm.

  14. It looks fine at home and at work, but then I'm running a silly resolution here at home, and a decent one at work. I've taken the comments off and squeezed it a bit more. Do we need run number and location?

  16. Aye, we found it. Then Peter gave G. Mac a good pumping. Up of his tyres that is. []

  18. The run back was spoiled a wee bit by some slow moving traffic on the way to Kincardine after we crossed the motorway, but before that it was run at a nice pace. The RA is a cracking car and looks very composed on the road. My clutch was a wee bit iffy pulling away from a few of the junctions early on, but it was fine by the time I got home. I think serious use at crail would require an upgraded one.
  19. I had a Y reg Vectra and it developed a problem very much like that when a sensor in the engine died. It was running very rich too and you could get a real whif of petrol of it. Dealer hooked it up to a monitor, diagnosed what sensor and replaced it for me and all was well.
  20. I think the major problem is the wee adaptor for the media recorder that you plug the video cable into keeps popping out, so I ended up with a couple of videos where the picture dies and I only get the sound recording. I'm thinking some elastic bands to put some tension on it to hold it in place is the answer. Or shove the archos media recorder back on ebay and buy a digital camcorder with AV Input. I'd get better quality from that. Ideally if I could find one with a broken lens that was really cheap I'd be laughing cos I only want it to hook up the external lens. Well pleased with the lens itself, and it got tested up to about 100mph with the 3 suction mounts and didn't look anywhere near coming off. www.dogcamsport.co.uk was where I got that from.
  21. Would that be me parking where I shouldn't? [:$] I blame all those Subarus that turned up. Can't go anywhere without finding them these days. Nuisances.
  22. Peter and G. Mac were in front, so that's them launching in front of me. Peter's only succesful run. CraigWRX beating me, but I got him back later. Think I lost that one on reaction times. Got a few more that I've not edited yet, but I've made a mess of a few of them. My camera setup needs some work I think. Or maybe it was just the operator who pressed the pause button on the way to the starting line a few times thinking he was pressing the start button. DOH. Plus heading into the sun makes it look a bit washed out too []
  23. Welcome to the club and the forum. You've just missed a Glasgow meet, which was highly entertaining. Next one will be the start of October.
  24. Peter, hope you get it sorted soon and it's not too serious. But remember - if it's broke, upgrade it!
  25. JC's last ET was an 11.77. I think the sound of NEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW best describes it. Trophies won: Del with the lovely 22b - Most trouser stiffening bit of kit or something like that, Show and Shine. JC - Quickest Time of the day JC - 4wd class winner JC - Overall Knockout Winner SIDC - Best stand SIDC - Car Club of the century Any more?
