would this be the similar bit of kit i had on my forester? wasn't quite done at new though, from what i can work out it was at first service.

got a nice certificate with it tho, but no badges :)

can imagine your motor is a rare as hens teeth matey, never come across one!

Your forester only got the PPP and required wheel upgrade.

The WR Sport as per the posted document includes

Similar upgrades were available for earlier models... but not under the WR Sport banner

My MY97 turbo 2000, over the first 2v years of its life, visited Prodrive for the Interior Package install and had the Driving Enhancement Package and Exterior Package installed at the Dealers although the rear spoiler was originally of a lesser upgrade than what it eventually finished up with as shown here.

most old speedos always showhigher han actual.

But i would imagine the 17" impreza wheels/tyres and incorrect rolling radius is partialy to blame. Maybe have impreza tyres on so eg. 40 profile and should be 50 profile closer to forester original wheels rolling radius.

@The Don has more accurate knowledge

The wheels fitted are part of/requirement of the Prodrive upgrade for the SF forester and come with 215/50/R17 tyres

Subaru speedos usually reads about 10% fast

  3. I took my JDM mirrors apart to convert to Heated.

To replace the motor it is the complete item, top left below and as shown on the parts diagram above.

Also the method of attaching the mirror glass varies.

Mine above if you tilt the glass fully so looking upwards, there are two slots on the white backing plate above that you can use a screwdriver in to release the bottom of the glass and then tilt it all the way down and unhook the two pegs at the top.

Noy sure on the earlier models, you used to have to heat the plastic rim of the glass to release it, usually breaking it in the process.

  4. Reading the various articles we may get a teaser at this years Tokyo Motor Show in October and a new version "may be" shown at next years Tokyo motor show so nothing solid until 2021

As an aside next years, JDM Impreza - Whether it will come to the UK who knows.
