That is not a big increase for a grand imho, but hey, I do not have one of those new fangled thingies, just an old Hawkeye WRX with only 340lb/ft. Cost me around £2k to get from 234 to 340. But the torquey things do make a big difference to progress along the highway!
Unfortunately comparing like for like doesn't work as "just an old Hawkeye" or a "new fangled thingy" still requires a freer flowing exhaust which is the major cost of the upgrade + it keeps it warranty.
How much of your £2K was spent on exhaust upgrades and is it still warranty friendly ????
-
so I need £995 (incl VAT) to go from 320ps to 340ps
hmmmm, I think I'll keep as i am for now.
what increase does the ProR air filter give me anyway?
Phil it's not so much the power increase but the TORQUE increase from 332Lbft @ 3400rpm for the 320R to over 360Lbft @3600rpm for the 340R
Makes a big difference.
............and it's warranty friendly

Subaru BRZ should go on sale in May 2012Starting price around $24k for Premium and about $27k for Limited.
BRZ Premium model which includes standard navigation, eight-speaker audio, soft touch dash, limited slip differential, leather-wrapped steering wheel (tilt-telescopic), shift knob and e-brake lever, six-speed manual, aluminum pedal covers and cruise control, among other standard features.
BRZ Limited model adds leather seats with Alcantara trim, fog lamps, rear deck spoiler, 17-inch rims and vented discs (16" front, 15" rear)
Subaru expects sales of 3-4K units/yr
According to Subaru a key difference between BRZ and Toyota 86/Scion FR-S are firmer front and softer rear spring rates for the BRZ
UK price will depend how Subaru UK spec the BRZ for here.........

Part number you quote is AFAIK for the single button key.
One of the Lads on Subaru forester forum was quoted £25 +VAT for one by a dealer who then managed to inflate that to £120!! but he was a bit naive about it, despite advice given prior to his visit

Take it your up for it then Don?
Have emailed elliott, just "down the road" for me

Is any one going to this?
Taken from the email i got sent.................
"Just wanted to inform you, that on 10th December, we have booked The Ace Cafe at North Circular Road, London for a unique event, 'Cross Roads At The Ace', if you are unfamiliar with this place, have a google, this venue is absolutely fantastic, and steeped in automotive history."
Think this is going to be good so Im going any one else up for it?
Thanks
Kev.
What sort of time are they looking at?
Should have checked first 11:30am

Maybe the clip is for cars with no rear wing or spoilers? Gx and base models etc that's brake light is window mounted?
That would be correct.
The WRX was also supplied in some regions without a spoiler.
Can't make it any clearer.............
-
Connector R19..................
-
I expect its for a high level brake( market dependant) that fits at the base/middle of the rear window, similar to the 2011 WRX STi Sedan.
Try wiring up a bulb temporarily to it and apply the brakes (ignition on)

Lovely, thanks for your help guys! I'll give them a call

It may be of interest (to those that don't already know) that combining the 320R power upgrade with a Hayward and Scott cat back exhaust (as fitted to the TA340Cs) produces (on Surrey Rolling Road) 342BHP and 360 Lbsft
Hence my little play on numbers..........
Out of interest, as the exhaust and Eibach springs fitted to the TA340CS are not Pro-R items (Pro-R springs for saloon not yet available but soon) who covers the warranty?

Having been involved in the early days of SIDC, thought it was about time I returned to the fold, having been more involved with Foresters over the last 8 years.
Latest ride came to me back in November 2010 looking like this...........
Now looks something like this.........
