KNOCKHILL SIDC DAY TODAY - Post your pictures and videos in here
wilky replied to wrxmania's topic in Scottish Scoobies
What a fantastic day! Thanks to all who passed kind comments about about the Millenium falcon, Its great to have her running again after her lengthy heart transplant Thanks also once again to John S for a great day. The car really was shifting until fuel starvation started to set in once the tank started to get low.......Back to the drawing board, for The Squirrel has a cunning plan.....!! A few mentions... Thanks to Grant for Peeing on my seat and staining them with Range Glue Thanks to Big Andy for whooping in my ear as we went around the track making me deaf, and staying Alive when we went sideways Thanks to The red Noble for proving that £45 000 still wont buy a car quick enough to beat the falcon. And thanks to Jack McFarlane for selling his slicks cheap, because they really do make such a difference. Managed to put a few names to a few faces, See youn all next time! Callum W -
Parking spaces are a premium in Japan. So much so that you have to prove that you have one before you can buy a car ! This little critter is what people drag out of thier garden and use to reserve thier parking space when they go to work in the morning. Even though thier space is bought and paid for people will still park in it and not mind about the fine. The little Jap dude that once owned this obviously had a scooby. Bless him. Someone has obviously imported this. You heard it here first, Amazing, but true. Dont Clap, just throw money. Callum

Cheers Duggy, but as Ive said Ive sorted it until I get another one made up Cheers anyway Callum
-
Thanks Jools, Im okay atm was just wondering if someone local could help me out about the Glasgow/ Edinburgh area but my repair should last until I locate a new top hose or a suitable bit of samco. Ive just had the car out for a run the pipe Ive put in seems to be okay, so I can now stop panicing and take my time until I find a decent hose. Thanks anyway Callum

My top radiator hose split last night. Does anyone have a spare hose or a bit of samco I could buy off them or swap or something. Ive bodged a repair atm, but I need a more permenant solution. Cheers Callum W

I have a hall with a bar a kitchen and a big carpark in Cumbernauld if you want to use that it would be ideal for a big meet. Its all modern and is looked after by me. I dont see my bosses grudging us use of it and It wouldnt cost us anything but I need to get the ball rolling asp if you want to use it. PM me your phone number if you want to come and have a look. Also, there is a sprint circuit on Bute and an events field nearbye for camping if you want to do a scottish version of the manx thing the english clubs enjoy. Once again you would have to give me time to press the flesh and sweet talk the estate into letting us use the circuit. Let me know what you all decide, but I have these things at my disposal. Callum

If this is going to be a non track related event which perhapes it should be if its not going to steal the thunder from the national day, then I may have a modern hall, a bar, a kitchen, and a huge carpark all in the same location at our disposal for the tidy sum of three groats and a couple of bottle tops. I need to ask my boss but I dont see a drama, as long as we dont get drunk and drive our cars or some knobs start tearing about the place. Where are we talking about, Cumbernauld, you dont get more central than that. Dougster has the full rembrant, if you, or if you prefer the plural, youz, think this is a good idea tell your ROs and Ill start the ball rolling. Guys, and this is to everyone involved in this AND other threads you can take from it what you want. The club doesnt need need this nonsense, Nor do we need shop stewards or bickering, snidey remarks or ill appreciated banter. I like a crack, I like sailing close to the wind with the moderators and winding people up, but its always in good faith and always tongue in cheek. I left SN because of the pish we are starting to see on this place now. This used to be sacred ground. Where people who enjoyed subaru and subaru things spoke. And thats the main reason the majority came to this sight when the SN defection happened. It was a turf where there was manners, a bit of banter and the moderators who were on the net and ran the club, were respected, thier word was final. Like a referee at an Old Firm match. If you seeked a reason for a decision it was given end of story, if you disagreed you spoke like adults and didnt do the he said she said, you not doing your job, we all want this so stuff you, nonsense. Incidentally, thats why they are there, moderators, or did you not know that? I dont want my club stuff displayed at chavtastic events, it gives the wrong impression its a club that respects the road the car and the owners, more importantly THE LAW. I dont want wee boys smoking thier tyres and burning out, and doughnuts associated with my club in a carpark. I dont want my club associated with trashy car magazines etc. Am I a scooby snob? Yes I probably am, but I dont have a flashy scooby, and I started off in a mini then a fiesta superport and drove crappy cars because I couldnt afford a nice car so dont start that nonsense either, Ask the majority of people on here and they will tell you the same, they are not rich or snobby but they want thier club to have a certain standing as well. As far as Hinting that a RO was misbehaving in a new borrowed car is outragous as well, not only is it a lie, it is damaging to him and the relationship the club has with the garage. Shame on you for even saying it in jest. If you want to drive to england to get a heavy tent to have it blown away at KH and for it to weigh a tonne once its wet, and try to dry it out and drive it back to england again, then crack on. Ide much rather use n the summer for the scottish big one, than mess about wasting money on it at this time of year. Or are you just causing trouble? Do you really need a tent to make you feel like a member of the gang? Lets raise money and buy our own, FFS. We dont need disharmony, nor do we need a union rep etc. If you dont like it go away and start your own car club that tolerates these arguments and s**tstirring. But dont do it here because this club and the vast majority of people in it are happy and dont want to see or hear it, we are happy with the club the way it is thank you. This used to be such a nice place, dont ruin it. Callum W

Who the **** do you think you are? Drifting onto the Stirling slip road? If I ever meet you again Im going to stick my hand down your throat and turn you inside out. You nearly killed the old folk in the micra you ***t. Its clowns like you who get Subaru drivers a bad name . I dont care if it was skilled it was bloody ludicrous. We all put the boot down now and again, but that was dangerous and juvenile. If I see you again I will follow you home and batter you, or drive my landrover right over the top of you, Oh and your exhaust will get you lifted. Sack. An extremely upset Callum W.

I shall be outing the millenium falcon with slicks (weather allowing!) Dont think ill be frying the new brakes somehow Ill be happy to take pax out on track once the tyres are warmed. Callum -
Nice to meet y'all! Been a member for years but this is the first time Ive been able to meet everyone! The Honda salesman with the New STi was nice, he must have been on holiday recently, and the wee guy with the kevlar plating in his jacket dissapeared later on. (I think the big bloke with his picture round his neck ate him!!) Seiously thanks for all the trivial banter, and Grant your car was great! I like your exhaust, in fact............. Callum

have an old early type turbo timer Im sticking on my car but it seems to have the wrong harness, ie the clips that bridge the connectors on the ignition are the wrong size. Does anyone have a spare one lying about? Callum W

Ill have a badge please Andy, dont need the lanyard got one already!! Callum W

Hello Grant, it was a pleasure meeting you last night. I went into several builders merchants today, and with out the bloody name of that stuff you were talking about last night, Im not going to get anywhere. Please could you have a headscratch and see if you can come up with the name of that stuff so I can visit the land of ultracold charge temps... Callum
