Good read there Kenny. Sorry I cant give you advice on what to do or how cos my knowledge is limited to basic stuff regarding mods. Nothing compared to what some of these guys are doing nowadays. I guess youre going to get all the block, internals sorted out as the main project first. Then think about the stuff like injectors, fuel pump, headers,zorst, new turbo, FMIC, filter/airflow, ECU. I think my old STI was running high 300s, maybe low 400s and all I did was Injectors Headers (equal length or almost equal length) Fuel pump Oil pump Decat 49G turbo (pretty laggy and had to be worked on boost) FMIC Remap Hope this helps

all to easy to get caught up in the fast driving scenario with other people but the bottom line is that its dangerous and shouldnt be done. The police are going to brand it as racing when in reality it might just be (in my personal experience) driving fast in convoy rather than racing. Its a silly game and could end up in more hot water than just the law if it all goes wrong.

Lucky escape there mate. Sounds like a decent policeman. I had one nice as pie a few months ago who then went on to hammer me bigtime. Thankfully due to my excellent lawyer i got off scott free. I was once stopped in Inverkip after rattling the car over the hills at warp speed. Very good thread !! I agree with everything that was saidd in teh first post. People join SIDC and want to meet other enthusiasts, exchange knowledge or learn and made welcome. Does this happen though in practise?? I dont think so. Its hard going when you first join SIDC if your failry quiet and people tend to be less approachable than they should be. Its easy to get caught up in our own conversations.cars, mods, etc and we should make an effort to walk over to people and say "hi my names x y z, pleased to meet you" strange people
