  5. Hi Spooks Just returned from camping in the Lakes, fantastic. We stayed just outside Keswick at Castlerigg Farm campsite, family run, very quiet, fantastic views and a 25 minute walk, 10 minute drive to the centre of Keswick. If you've never been to the Lakes before I'd recommend the Keswick area as a good base. It's the main town, very central to all the lakes & mountains, easy access from M6 at Penrith, regards

  7. Hi Everyone As this event edges nearer, I've now received the following information from the Imperial War Museum. I've booked 30 spaces which will be ok for those that have confirmed their attendance. If you haven't yet, but would like to join us please let me know asap and I'll raise the number of spaces available to us. Kevin Here the details for Sunday 6 August: The entrance to the Museum will be via Gate 1 for all car clubs. Just follow the 'Car Club' signs on the A505 pointing to the gate. The gate will open at 9.30am. The museum is open from 10am - 6pm. Admission is £9 per person, which has to be paid at the kiosk by Gate 1. The actual parking area is between our American Air Museum and the Land Warfare Hall. We will have 2 stewards to help you parking up and pointing you to your allocated area. Also, we will distribute detailed maps on the kiosk to show where your car club area will be as well as having individual car club signs on the grass area. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to see you on the 6th.
  8. David Beckham decided to go horseback riding. Although he has had no previous experience he skillfully mounted the horse and appeared in complete command of the situation as the horse galloped along at a steady pace, Victoria admiringly watched her husband. After a short time David became a little casual and he began to lose his grip in the saddle, he panicked and grabbed the horse around the neck shouting for it to stop. Victoria started to scream and shout for someone to help her husband as by this time David had slipped completely out of the saddle and was only saved from hitting the ground by the fact that he still had a grip on the horse's neck. David decided that his best chance was to leap away from the horse, but his foot had become entangled in one of the stirrups. As the horse galloped along David's head was banging on the ground and he was slipping into unconsciousness. Victoria was now frantic and screamed and screamed for help!! .... .. ... .. .. .. ... Hearing her screams, the Tesco's Security Guard came out of the store and unplugged the horse.

Hi Everyone At a recent meet in Cambridge we discussed the Richard Burns Memorial relay, where to join & finish, where to meet to convoy to the relay, who wanted to join etc. The current thinking is some of us will meet in Cambridge, meet up with those from Peterborough area travelling down the A1 at Baldock, then onto South Mimms services where we'll join the relay to Prodrive in Banbury, then back home. Please note that I'll need you to register by 31st March and have made your payment by 4th April in order to submit to CADS who are handling the registration process.
