  1. That would be on account of the Arrows F1 engine in it ya nugget You generally don't get to stand 4 feet from one though a tree lined lane on the F1 calader though
  2. Chy has it in hand www.penninesubaru.com
  3. As Craig has pointed out, there is a small slot at the back, it works using a Ram effect. It will of course induce drag, but I've come close to puking with the heat in the past, so maybe a small price to pay
  4. See if it'll stay on the car when open at 180mph
  5. More action today, never let Craig within 30ft of your car with either a hole saw or a pd saw in his hand !!! Roof scoop now functional rather than Bling Rear Bumper pods in Paint New MEF Motorsport designed/CompBrake Manufactured Pedal Box New Fuel tank, lives in boot where the old 'Icle' one was, but should allow me to more than 3 laps of Knockhill without having to refuel
  6. LOL, bumped on Sat, car was back out on the Sunday
  7. Seems to me you are insinuating they came with the car from Japan !! Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like that ---john---
  8. George, I assume you mean V70As ? Drop me a PM ---john---
  9. A lot of work and fabrication to be done Stephen, but I'm quietly confidant ---john---
  10. Na, Peter, you're miles out. Fortune Cookies can't be working Had a chat with Chy tonight and Engine spec is finalised and in progress. Between that, the new Turbo and the new management, heaven help the gearbox Lots of work and late nights ahead. Took the Trusty Apexi out tonight, it's away on its holidays to Helensburgh MAFSIM out, likwise, new home in Kirky, apart from that I'm having a quiet night

  13. Jeez, Jim. So sorry to see this !!! ---john---
  14. If your injectors and pump are big enough, I'd do the E85 thing
  15. The casting on the block will say EJ20 Not allowed to divulge the details
  16. I've been working on the details of a dry sump system for a while, Paul anouncement possible saves me the bother of actually making it. Assuming the figures he is quoting can be acheived. I don't need one just yet as I don't consider it necessary for the first couple of venues we'll be visiting this year. It's the bit above the sump that is going to be the Nads !! Basically Fuji Heavy Industry would not recognise the final result
  17. I can build a 500hp capapable engine all day long at home in the garage, I couldn't build whats coming, I don't have the equipment, nor the skill to be honest The bit in the middle is going to be VERY special, lets just say it'll be the prototype. There is nothing like it on the market..... YET ---john---
  18. Grant, there are many compaies out there that will sell you a 'Race' alternator for circa £300, however, they are standerd equipment on a Diahatsu Charade Jim, spacers are Ally, nothing sinister there, but excellent work from Carl as usual.
  19. Spent some time in the garage tonight. Out with the old......... Pulled the heads off last year's engine as it's going to a new home. In with the new.......... These bad boys are 20K Mile AVCS heads Bought them recently and tomorrow they are on their way to Chy at PENNINE SUBARU for a wee makeover and to be introduced to the bit that goes between them They are not going alone, I'd like to keep my PhI manifold as they are the best option available, so we are adding some www.carldavey.co.uk Gucci stuff. These spacers allow me to use/save money by retaining fuel rails, manifold etc. On a similar note, anyone who knows me will know how Anal about weight saving I am, again, more of Mr Daveys' Gucci'ness, anyone felt the weight of a '93-'96 Alternator bracket this mounts this Icle wee thing..
