  1. Orr a classic with a 'proper chassis' welded in there []
  2. I use ProGrip in Bonniebridge, brand new state of the art equipment, John is very meticulous, and extremely reasonably priced. I've used many people over the years on both my Road cars and my Race cars, Progrip are by far the best I have experience of. Cost is around £50'ish ---john--- Camber, castor, and toe front and rear are all setup. If I was in Aberdeen and I wanted a 'road car' setup I'd probably use T&C, if I wanted the Race car setup I'd go to Mark Hutchieson @ MH Engineering in Banchory, there's a difference between making a car straight in all 4 corners compaired to making it corner straight []
  3. No point in phoning Liam then. I believe he intends to start doing newage stuff in the very near future. I gather it's to do with the proximity to Aberdeen and the fact they can't drive up there [] Mwuhaha
  4. That dozy fecker Liam has probably forgotten to pay for his domain name. I'd go to Glenburgie anyday of the week. Is this a bumper for a MkI Impreza ? Colour ? Are you willing to paint ? ---john---
  5. Nice []
  6. you not think it'll have lost anything higher up ? ---john---
  7. I would imagine recent change has made the car less powerfull, so even 500 HP is optomistic. However its all happening earlier, so performance will have increased....realtive to your 'Pimp' mobile []
  8. I have no interest in being in the same vacinity as a bloke with a Mis-Alligned Strut !!! that would have to be the most powerful 2.0L in Ecosse
  9. JS 500/1020*1000 = 490BHP/Tonne AG 600/1320*1000 = 455BHP/Tonne AF undisclosed/realy light*1000 = Hunners and Hunners [] CW ?
  10. Alan has a PPG gearset.... which is what I use, though a different flavour. I would imagine the two car would be very similar If we 'assume' Alan's car is standard weight and around 600bhp, then there would be 5bhp/tonne difference in the two cars. If we then factor in the weight of the two drivers.. on second thoughts lets not go there.. ---john--- P.S. Passed your gaff today, was over at the Paisley Daily Express working
  11. Many have tried and failed to get Alan to do anything like that
  12. I'll lend you my Dyno sheet, it's way better than all of the ones on here [] [][] Would AlanG not run you close John?. Charity rolling road day for JohnSt, AndyF and AlanG, i will pay for all of thier runs and make the money back charging a fiver admission. Really find out out who has the Kahuna's in the classic dept That would be a predictable outcome on a rolling road 1.Andy.F by a country mile 2.AlanG (50-100 BHP more than me) 3. Mine, 500bhp (but mines close to 1000kg) with a lower spooling faster reacting turbo. Ultimately these three cars are built for different purposes, and the each do their own thing well. Horses for courses,on a back road it may be more interesting On a drag strip Andy would use me as practice. On a back road, I may have the edge (remember Andy's car is not an out and out drag car, it can go round a bend) Going to the shops Alan wins hands down
  13. I'll lend you my Dyno sheet, it's way better than all of the ones on here []
  14. I doubt you would get enough people interested in participating to make it worth hiring a venue specifically for the task, min number to hire Kames (Muirkirk) would be 20 @ £25 and all would have to join EACC which would be another £20. ---john---
  15. You'd be silly not to [] I think it was 12 out of 15 cars on the thread I put up, the others were probably cheating []
  16. Are there more events at Crail this year still to come ? Might go and try a second days' drag racing [] ---john---
  17. David is in West Lothian
  18. Couldn't have been me, my cars all look like real sheds []
  19. The two fastest Imprezas in Scotland( uk? ), for info check out the handling scores at TOTB V One drives in a straight line (in a World record beating class of its own) The other goes round bends and is set up at ProGrip, Go Figure !!!!!!!!!!!!! You decide [][] []
  20. Extreme charge a ludicrous rate.... shocking. There is only one place around here I'd recommend, value for money and an excellent job. ProGrip (also in Bonnybridge) 01324-810111 Around £50-60. If you are in any doubts about what is/isn't done then stand and watch. ---john---
  21. He doesn't do them, however they can be bought from Paul @ www.plastics4performance.co.uk/ Problem with making your own for an Impreza is the Frameless windows, flat sheet ain't any good, they need to be formed which is a PITA I might have a set for sale quite soon, bought them from above ---john---
  22. Hi Craig, sorry I missed you guys, did see you, just didn't react in time. Was over asAndy was doing some "Alford specific" tweeking for this weekend. Would have been possible to go for a ride as I had a passenger seat in too. Just to convert you to the 'Old Side' [] ---john---
  23. Phone Eastend radiators in Glasgow and they'll sell you a new end tank. ---john---
  24. Craig, another option is fit a 10L tank, then you can only do 3 laps of KH, works for me
