heading home last night i was doing about 110 and accelerating in 6th gear when the engine cut for a second and the engine check sign on the dashboard lit up and is remaining lit. the cars a standard uk 05 sti ppp, 2000 miles and id just filled it up with optimax. it seems to be running ok, maybe a little bit more popping from the exhaust than normal anyone any ideas? is it ok to run?

i was in las vegas a few months ago and spent ages talking to the guy at the subaru garage and they dont seem to have too much trouble with the heat,they uprate all the intercoolers to cope including one for the turbo.just watch out for the dodgy grade of fuel! good luck and enjoy the sun

touch wood i havent had any for years, but the last time i did i got three in a row! dont know if the idea appeals to anyone but my other halfs dad has started a business selling tyre sealant,its a green gel that goes into the tyre and seals any holes as soon as the object is pulled out. it doesnt have a speed restriction and unlike punctures you can have more than three holes in a tyre without having to replace it. im sure i could get a group buy/discount if there was enough interest. and no i aint in commission!

i tend to get about 180-210 with my sti, used to get a maximum of 190 with my old my00. the red light and beep from the dash does mean im at optimum revs for maximum fuel effeciency doesnt it?

i did los angeles to san francisco via the pacific coast highway,12 hours and 700 miles in a day. in an automatic dodge neon that used 3 tanks of fuel,cost me 70 dollars that did god i hated that car, but what a journey!

well yesterday was a day of mixed emotions, with a tear i said a fond farewell to scooby two and an end to five years of classic ownership with much grinning i picked up my shiny new sti ppp!! with much gnashing of teeth i realised how long a thousand miles can be... roll on that first service and 7000rpm! will stick up some photos when i figure out how to?
