  1. This is the info I previously came across for the R205 (although I can't remember where)
  2. Not been around on SIDC for quite some time to be honest, just life getting in the way and being time poor meant that some of my past times had to take a back seat, as my amount of leisure time was in decline. I can see a few names around that I recognise from probably +10years ago when I was a bit more active on the forum, and no doubt lots of new people too. However, having recently bought another scooby, and broken it, and fixed it again, I thought that I would make an effort. Had various scoobs over the years, including classic Imprezas, UK and import, a Forester STI (amazing car which I had for 8 years), blob Spec C (track car), and currently have a Legacy GTB Tuned by STI (family wagon), and my recently rebuilt purchase of an R205 (toy 🙂 ), which I think I've managed to now do about 500 miles in the first almost 12 months of ownership, it died after 3 days, and is only just back on the road, run in and mapped. So hello 🙂
  3. Yeah thamks for that. I have the manual for the unit, so had that info, and like you say it doesn't give much detail, just says Defi type - get from PSI3.....
  4. # Yeah that's why I wanted to try and find an alternative, as I want to set it up with the PSI3 and the alarms so that if my oil pump fails again, I stand a better chance of noticing before the engine is stuffed....
  5. Roy is a top bloke. Made a fantastic job of my first scoob when I sold it, and made the new one gleam too. It's about ready for another visit, but need to get the engine repaired first
  6. has PSI 3 disappeared as the website seems to have vanished ? in which case anyone know what the range and signal type are for the oil temp and pressure and so that I can source suitable sensors and connect them up ? I seem to recall they used the Defi ones but could be wrong...
  7. Yeah me too I owned a DGM MY98 UK wagon for 4 years prior to this one, and for about the last 2 years of owning the previous wagon while keeping my eyes open, I saw of only 2 other JDM STI 5 wagons in this colour (seen a few STI 5 saloons in this colour). I've only ever seen one other in the metal as one of the scoobyclinic mechanics has/had one (don't know if he still has it as it was up for sale). This was the only one I saw for sale in the 2 years I was loooking. Saw a couple of black ones, a white one and a blue one. I suspect in reality there probably aren't more than a handful of them in this colour in the country. I can't imagine there are that many STI 5 wagons either, a few tens, or perhaps a hundred or so, wouldn't of though it's much more.... Same colour as the RB5, steel blue, but called cool grey metallic on the JDM STI. Same colour code though. Wanted an RB% but practical enough for me, so when I found out about this JDM wagon in this colour, I just had to have one, and it took me 2 years to find one for sale....
  8. I have some wiring diagrams for MY98 (somewhere ), if thewse are any help, but not sure if MY97 is the same, although I think that they are.
  9. Bugeye is every 10k miles or 12 months. I've seen info on the actual schedules themselves online somewhere but just can't quite remember where ATM.
  10. In my opinion on both occasions that I have added a decat centre (to a PPP back box and to a Hayward and Scott backbox) it has not massively increased the volume of the exhaust. What I noticed more was a slight deepening of the note of the exhaust instead. It was maybe marginally louder but not particularly noticable. With the decat downpipe and with a sports cat downpipe, slight increase in volume, but with more pops and bangs Slightly less of the pops and bangs with the sports cat, but will still do it all the same
  11. Well I said I'd try and get some better pictures, and I managed to get a couple of slightly better shots at the weekend (they're a little grainy as the light wasn't too good): And a close up of the wheels with the carbon fibre centres now fitted: And a couple of others
  12. Nice write up. and some excellent pictures. Have always liked the look of the car (nice to be able to get the STI in a 5 door again ), and even the back lights (which I didn't like initally)are starting to grow on me now. Looking forward to next installment when it's run in.
  13. Yeah me too, just need to get a better picture one day. All done now. In that picture wheels had just been fitted (after 3 hourss of polishing with a couple of layers of base coat, and then a couple of layers of Swissol wheel wax) and were without carbon wheel centres, but managed to get a set at last having waited like 6-8 weeks with some on back order form the factory in Italy, I picked some up on ebay, brand new, result.
  14. Thought it was about time I added something to this thread My old wagon (MY98 UK Turbo 2000 PPP): New new wagon (JDM STI V5): And the most recent shot with the refurbed wheels - must get a better one soon.
  15. Don't let the thieving scum of the world put you off getting one if you really want it. All you can do is think about a bit of extra security over and above the standard (as mentioned above) and try not to draw too much attention to yourself when getting near home. Although that said, the Legacy spec B would be a nice choice too
