Or think about it like this, I was driving along the 2 lane A46 nr Leicestershire in the fast lane the other day at around the national speed limit when a van 100 yards ahead of me in the inside lane decided to jettision it's hubcap in my general direction. The hubcap initially shoots skywards like a plastic/metal frizbee probably travelling at about 60 - 70 mph itself & arcing back towards the traffic in the fast lane ie me !! I was able to watch this now earthbound hubcap, then apply a squirt of throttle at the right moment which shot me underneath it allowing it to harmlessly hit the deck behind me. Now, had I not been in a high performance car I simply couldn't have accelerated quick enough for this short burst & it may well have hit my windscreen & caused all sorts of other trouble. So maybe think of your Subaru as a safety device, for getting you & your family out of a dangerous situation should one arise. The same applies for overtaking LHD lorries quickly !

Thanks guys, good advice. I'll look into some of those security devices. I've just spent the last 3 years in various Volvo 760 Turbos where for some reason security not so much of an issue ;-)

Good point, /joke mode/ Of course with all the reviews telling us how bland the new hatchback shape is, nobody will probably notice it's an Impreza /joke mode off/ However, I think the new shape looks really good.

Hi all, First post here as I've just registered. I'm considering buying a 2008 WRX & test drove one last week which was great fun. However, one thing that is worrying me is getting the thing stolen. I live in Coventry & it would be parked on my drive which is basically next to the pavement & then the road so people are walking right past it. My area is about average, not bad, not great. What do you guys think, would you park yours on the drive in front of your house ? Having a look at the stolen section here has made me think I should maybe go for a something a little more discreet ( I also tested the Legacy 3.0R Spec B Tourer :-)). Whaddya reckon ? Regards
