  1. Took the Scoob to Hypertech on Saturday to get the geometry set-up with Fast Road settings Dealer had given a try setting the geometry to reduce wear on outside edge of front tyres - bzzzzzzzz WRONG ANSWER!! Geometry was well out and now I know why I was understeering on right hand bends. Thanks to Dunc & Dunc Junior at Hypertech, it's all sorted. Great service and very genuine, helpful folk What a difference Wish I'd had this done on previous Scoobs now Den
  2. Yep - got mine today at last aswell. Already on the car - a wee bit smaller than I expected, especially the Scottish Saltire but they serve the purpose - acknowledging the memory of Colin McRae. Den
  3. Go without her then ya big puff!!
  4. I got my latest Scoob in June MY07 STI and put the WRC graphics on it. Only other change is a TSL Group N back box & de-resonated centre section to make sure the Scoob burble is there. Not got fed-up of the graphics yet but did take John's (The Welsho) advice and did not go for the dayglo graphics just normal yellow. Den
  5. Someone on Scoobynet speculating that Alisatair may also be involved: http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general...olin-mcrae.html This not looking good guys (regardless of who the victims are) but tomorrow's papers are already making claims http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml.../ncopter115.xml
  6. Quote from latest SKY NEWS bulletin: There will be no formal identification of any victims this evening. The air accident investigation team are en route to establish the cause of the crash.
  7. Scottish News: says the damage is so bad that they still do not know exactly how many were on board let alone being able to identify them!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgo...est/6996860.stm
  8. Oh Oh! Still no confirmation of who and how many were on board!
  9. yep, those D&G fekkers got me aswell on the way down to Rally Day in 2005!! 400+ miles each way & I get nabbed just a handful of miles from home - didn't know anything about it until the wee letter dropped thru the letterbox. marginally over the limit - obv the guy wasn't a Scooby fan: barsteward!! Den
  10. Just a quick update to reflect car change for me & Mrs Big Den []
  11. As per topic - all I can access are 'events', 'For sale & wanted' & 'off topic - non scooby related chat' - is it just me? [:^)] Den
  12. Unfortunately, a lot of people are influenced by these times of PC and paranoia (spelling?). Clearly not in this case as it was not in a remote area but hasn't there been examples in the past where people stopping to help other motorists have been mugged, attacked, carjacked? Also some women decline help due to the fear of being attacked, assualted with men also equally wary of helping incase of being accused of this - it's a sad fact of today's society Can't understand why the 4 workies didn't lend a hand though or other motorists when they saw you helping??? Den
  13. Colin McRae drove the 2007 Subaru WRC car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed - looks like these pics are from that event. Den
  14. WTF is all that sh1t all over the engine in the new STi I just picked up? Looks like someone with a heavy cold sneezed all over it!! [+o(] or Shrek melted [:S] Think I'll have to do the same operation as Colzo did Although dealer advises leaving it on to stop the aluminium parts oxidising!! [] Den
  15. I think you meant CONDONE not CONDEMN m8 Den
  16. Well strangely enough, I just had to return a centre section to TSL bought for my Hawkeye - no way that the floating flange would go far enough forward to connect to the downpipe - the bolts were not long enough even without the springs. Sent pics etc to TSL & they agreed something was not right and checked their stock. Apparently, their supplier made a mistake with the production run & someone forgot to machine the inside edge of the floating flange so that it could come far enough forward!!!! Now waiting on a replacement!! Might not be the case here but worth checking! Den
  17. I hope she opted for the full collision damage waiver with the rental company or it won't really be 'Low Cost Van Rental'!!!! Den
  18. or advertised new for £23,267 (incl. the £1k Subaru UK discount) on Grieve's website until you actually enquire about one then there aren't actually any at that price - hmmnnn!! In all fairness you were on holiday at the time Gav. Den Sorry i was on holiday m8,how many would you like at £23267 on the road and what colour. i have them in stock ready to go![] Gav Unfortunately, it's too late. Business went elsewhere - 1x STi & 1x WRX [] Den

  20. No doubt there will still be a hose pipe ban in July/August!! Usually some pash about the wrong type of rain - it's ferkin wet!! Den
  21. I know it's great when there are offers on new Imprezas or Special Editions - I h8 to keep saying it but, if you are looking to part ex against one (whether you currently have an impreza or not) it comes down to the 'cost to change'. I think we all know that the dealers will reduce the part ex prices given in line with any price reductions on new cars or on Special Editions loaded with extras that potentially reduce margins. We also have to consider the knock on effect these price reductions may have on depreciation of the cars we already own - I refer not only to the GB270 but also the reduced price of the standard WRX just announced. Den
  22. & now we know why there is a reduced price on WRX's at the moment and why they are saying that currently WR Blue WRX's are very rare - they want to clear out the other colours, keeping 300 WR Blue's back for this last 'Special Edition' scam. If all goes to plan the demand will be there for the last 300 WR Blue WRX's and at a price no doubt!! Got to love IM!! Den
  23. This is fine & dandy if you have no part-ex. It really comes down to the 'cost to change' as, IMO (& past experience), the part-ex value decreases in line with the reduced price of the new car. Den
  24. Hi Currently have the ones from Scooby World fitted - got them last year as part of a group buy for around £54 delivered (complete with brackets, etc) Den
