  5. Would advise you to check out the warranty side of this purchase. Not too sure how manufacturers warranty works on Jap cars?? Someone else on here should know?? Or call your local dealer and ask them if they can help. Sorry, but I aint in the know about this. My car was imported from Japan in Nov 2003, new, and i didnt have a Subaru warranty anyway, just a poor dealer one
  6. .....and how do we know who is who by weaing these?? Will they have our names on them?? Must have missed something. Doug.............wish I was as clever as you, but not as ugly!!!

  9. Just a note to let all the folk that are booked onto Knockhill for the 5th of March know that as per the norm, Ronnie from Wheels Around will be attending on the day. He will be providing his service of tyre/wheel changing and setting of track pressures. There will also be wheel/tyre (slicks) packages for hire on the day. Cost of hiring for the four hour session is £60. He has 4 sets of 16" wheels ( for all the classic scoobies with std brakes and also newage wrx's, not STI) And 3 sets of 17" wheels for anyone running larger brakes on the classic or newage WRX's 1 perhaps 2 sets for the Newage sti (Brembo brakes) Tyres can also be bought on the day as Ronnie carries a good stock of rubber in the truck. ( best to make enquiries into spec before the day) Various Slicks are available, Moulded, wets, etc. Any one who is looking to either hire the package for the day, or would like to purchase a set of their own can get in contact with myself or Ronnie. Its best to book them sooner rather than later to give Ronnie an idea of what he is needing to bring and also to make sure you get what your wanting. If you want to stick your name up I can sort the rest out for you. Alternatively you can speak to Ronnie on 01764 662 897.

Car was going really well and the roads were cracking too Never had any scary moments, just the ones behind the Squirrel , who likes to drive on the right!! Great to meet new guys n' girls, put names to faces, etc. Well organised, and well run on the day
  20. Right, this should keep us all going over the weekend!! Who has the most powerful Scooby?? Rules are.. 1) No fantasy figures. If there are no rolling road readings, then justify your claims 2) Its too be a combined reading of torque and bhp. ( so if your 300bhp with 240lbf your beat by some one with 285bhp/280lbf) 3) errrrm, play ball!!! Copy and paste and we can argue about who takes the number one spot at the end of each day This should be fun!! Remember, no dreaming, cause you will only look silly when you go on the Rollers at dastek and your 50 ponies short Here we go.... 1) HI SOOB 318bhp/309lbf
  21. ally-b, there is no charge for spectators on these days Bring as many folk as you like, and give them a good day out Jambo, insurance isn't included in the price. You would need to look into this yourself. Personaly I have never had the cover and never needed it (touch wood!!) and to be fair the standard of driving is normaly very good on SIDC days. There has been debate over this on several occasions. Your own insurance wont cover you for Racing or track days but this is termed as an Advanced driving day because you are not driving for positions or points. So technicaly you can be covered by your insurance. I know that there has been a case such as this and the driver successfully won the claim. Dont know if anyone else has any more details on this.???
