  1. Great fun today - got my wee EVO going quite well now [H] Right Click & Save As pls 73MB Hopefully see you at the Richard Burns meet with a couple other Scottish MLR guys & gals! Cheers Rog Data log of my fastest lap:
  2. Excellent stuff m8 - I've started the food list on your other thread to leave this one free for general banter - hope that's OK? Really looking forward to this trip - never been to the Island before Cheers Rog
  3. Yip - Looking forward to this one Cheers Rog
  4. Hi Scott! A pair of fast motors you & Dunc have there Although I was very tempted to do a Jason Plato manouver to get by him at the end LOL Cheers Rog
  5. Nice clip - reminded me of my Classic wagon - Loved that car - only motor I've never fitted a stereo to - thanks to Scooby Sport full exhaust & decat I personally think it's White Cars that are the best - what do you think? LOL Rog
  6. I got it right about 2 times out of 5 LOL I was practising brake drifting all day - more tricky than e-brake (hand-brake) drifts... Here's how I learned - you may have seen our dark S13 drift car there on Saturday too? Project S13 e-brake drifting at Crail (requires DivX ) If anyone has any pics or vids of me going sideways, they would be most appreciated too!! Although great fun in the wet, you don't get the smokeyness you do in the dry EVO Drift gif Cheers Rog
  7. No, they don't know... You're right - no timing or racing on a track day, due to insurance regulations - otherwise it's technically a "race" meeting with all that involves... Although, I don't have access to the data at the time... And I can't really stop my video camera recording time and "accidently" noticing it when I get home... Cheers Rog
  8. << just wondering, i do the lap all in 3rd apart from hairpin (2nd) and 4th on straights (change into 4th on back staright just at the mirror sign) , fastest speed was around 115-120 at the bridge - trafficless and all corners wer 40+ - fastest i took dufus was around 63 - but that led to the wee spin. afterwards my mate said he timed a few times and i was around 65-75s. like th sound of this datalogging stuff - where do u get it from and how much? also what mounts do u use for cameras in the car, i have a mini dv camera that i think i'll bring next time - suppose i'll just gaffer tape it to the headrest >> Hi m8! I borrowed the datalogger from 535 Steve - basically you plug it in to the fag lighter and duct tape it flat to the dash, and that's it! It uses a gps tracker and accelerometers to track the car, and stores it on a removable PC card thing... It is even better if you hard wire it with rpm, wheel speed, gear etc, but is Cool as is This is it here: Race-Technology DL1 You can then overlay it on top of video if you can work the software (which I can't lol!!) Here's a screen dump of a 66s lap from Saturday - the dots are the start/finish line, the red line gps speed and the black, lateral g - pulling over 1g in most corners!! Screen Dump The troughs in the red speed line are, in order, Duffus, McIntyre, Butchers, Chicane, Clark, Taylors... Knockhill Map: here Cheers Rog p.s. camera mount here - SM1
  9. << Courtesy car though, so it was all good. >> LOL!! Always helps Rog
  10. << Superb?? that what you call it? F*****G amazing car controll is what id call it. Never seen an evo drift as well and as controlled on a track for a very long time >> Thaks m8 Got a lend of Steve's datalogger for a bit of the afternoon (the guy in the slammed black BMW 535 diesel): Wet track - best figures i.e. not necessarily all on same lap: Lap Time: 66.66s Max lateral g: 0.940 Max braking g: -0.835 Max accelerating g: 0.298 Top Speed: 106.9mph Minimum Speed: 32.91mph Can't get the software to overlay this on the video working yet, though... Cheers Rog
  11. Thanks - Yip, that's my wee Bus Rog
  12. Hi Mr RS Yeah - that's a great clip - I think it's Higgie's car? Cheers Rog
  13. << Admiral, near the end of the day you managed the most outstanding drift round McIntyres. I was just coming down duffus, pointing the right way that time I may add, and noticed your car pointing in all sorts of wrong directions. It was great to watch. >> Cheers m8 - I do like McIntyres And Clarks... And Taylors... LOL!! Cheers Rog

  20. One old dear at Crathie asked if she could trade her (Subaru Blue!) 3 wheel zimmer for one of the Scoobs - Class
  21. Well, when my "4wd Rally Car" drove through a puddle on the road later in the day it broke down Thanks to Steve (I think) for coming to check all was OK. I drove back home, avoiding the clowds, via Aberdeen, so missed the later police mellarky, luckily... I used to have a gorgeous Scoob Mk1 5dr so was liking those on the run - although would have a Chim450 in the other garage for sunny days
  22. Nice The guy in the Yellow one was driving quite nervously for some reason after the first shower made the roads like slime
  23. Yeah - I know where you're at... Thanks to you and the other corteous drivers who pulled over to let us buy when appropriate too - there were a couple of myopic drivers on the single track roads who didn't notice 35 Scoobies behind them for a couple of miles lol! I had a great drive up behind S666OOB - his car sounds Superb - meant I couldn't hear your TVR, though! (I assume yours is the yellow Chimera?) Cheers
  24. I spoke to the 55 year old bike cop, sent on his own to deal with a complaint from the public about "Subarus racing on the road". He was OK, and just talked about bikes, the cop not done for doing 160etc... I thought that was that as we headed off, but he must have called his m8s to get you guys later? B@stards Just be rally careful not to identify ANYONE involved with ANYTHING - I'm in court next month charged with dangerous driving for overtaking a van at 40mph - go figure This is based on witness statements from the van driver and the car driver behind only... Anyway, despite being on 11.9995 points, I had a Great day and it looked like everyone else did too
  25. Hi m8! Yeah - good to catch up Next Hot Marques Monday 6th June here Maybe see & hear a few Scoobs there too? Cheers Rog 62s Knockhill lap in Phil's 500bhp EVO 6 - 20MB
