  2. Neil - yeah, I fitted a new set of Carbotech XP10 rears on Saturday night and bedded them in for about 100 miles - they went from "painful" to "very loud" By the end of the Sprint they were quiet, but I've ordered up some shims to try to sort it out when cold on road My front XP10s are silent... John - yes, I am me Rog
  3. Hi John! Good to meet you today - your car and driving were Awesome I got one of your laps on vid - see below: http://www.rog.me.uk/Alford%202008.wmv - 70MB Video - Right Click And Save As Please Cheers Rog
  4. Great day out - good to meet up with some of you guys again and thanks to John S for the invite It was my first time sprinting in the new car, so was pleased to be reasonably competitive Cheers Rog http://www.rog.me.uk/Alford%202008.wmv - 70MB Video - Right Click And Save As Please
  5. Yes - I agree - the MLR is far too comercially oriented and excludes non-EVOs from some events, which is really crap IMO... The last time, I pestered them and eventually they opened it up to non-EVOs 2 weeks before the event, but I don't know if they will do it this time or not... Several other clubs encourage cross club events including SIDC, Capri Club, RSOC etc, but the MLR organisers aren't doing this, which I think is crap... Sorry! Rog
  6. Cheers Guys Yeah, I traded my long suffering IV in 10 days ago for Martin Willox's Awesome VIII MR RS, and as you can see, it's pretty Fantastic - that was my first time on track in it Full details & some car pics here: http://www.lancerregister.com/reg_cardetails.php?carid=3448 Here's my Epic 165MB Video - Right Click & Save As pls VMax at 21m35s Fastest Lap at 34m50s Cheers Rog p.s. Graeme - MLR Sprint at Ingliston is on Sun 17th Aug
  7. Great pics m8 Did you get any pics of my wee EVO by any chance? It was my first time on track with it, but it was going not too badly I got very few completely clear laps, but got a best complete lap of 56.7s with a best sectorised "ideal lap" of 54.5s, so plenty left to find in the car - not too shabby for its first outing VMax 142.23mph on pit straight! I'll post up a proper vid later, but here's my fastest lap (56.71s) with datalog: Video Rog
  8. No worries - car should be nearer 400bhp next time Rog
  9. Cheers Guys Downloadable vid here: http://www.rog.me.uk/SIDC%20March%202008.wmv Right Click & Save As 140MB Rog

  15. A really cool vid from Don (Silver EVO VIII): http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?docid=...817865193311646 Col's site is back up and running now too... I know what you mean about the noise at the near miss, but no-one hit anyone else, fortunately... It might have been the sound of my eyeballs re-seating themselves, or something LOL Cheers [] Rog
  16. Col's car seems fine and he now owns enough stones to make a small garden path LOL... Here's some of his vids with Scoobies in, including his two offs... http://www.fastvwgolf.co.uk/video_links.htm I thought the general standard of driving was excellent all day tbh [H] Rog
  17. LOL - yeah, I was so surprised to see a 5ft flame that I forgot to slow for MacIntyre and nearly lost it [] Russ's EVO was running about 430bhp (flywheel), the Extreme car 385bhp, Don's about 380, Robbie's 370, Jamsie's 360 and mine about 355... I think I'll need a faster camera car to keep up [] Rog
  18. Great Pics Neil [H] Here's a wee vid from yesterday: Right Click & Save As pls 144MB There are some Scoobies in it, honest [] Cheers [] Rog
  19. Cheers Guys [] Yeah - I'm pretty gutted after all the trouble I've had with this car... Here's a vid of the day, with a few Scoobs and EVOs in it - despite a misfire and running low boost, we still had 50+ laps of fun on our last outing... Vid 100MB - Right Click & Save As Please Bye Bye Ciao Ciao [:'(] [:'(] [:'(] Rog
  20. Thanks for the condolences guys... Yip - brake failure at 120mph on Railway -> hit tyres at 60-70mph at Taylor [:'(] At least I got my P.B. lap times of 58s and under before the crash... http://www.lancerregister.com/attachment.p...;postid=1231109 Will post up some in-car vids later, although didn't have camera or data logger on for final session as was running the wideband to try to diagnose a misfire... Car's not repairable, so will be broken for spares... At least Russ and I are relatively unhurt... Rog
  21. Thanks to Martin and Andy who have paid up [H] We have a Focus RS, MR2 Turbo, Scoob STi and Lotus Elise now for a bit of variety [au] Only one place left now!! Come on Craig - no Primeras are running!!! Cheers [D] Rog
  22. Hi John! Thanks for posting this up [] This is our first MLR Scottish Sprint and I can confirm SIDC members will be entitled to the £30 price (and non-members £45) [H] Who knows, this might become a more regular MLR/SIDC event? Only six places left now - please phone Mechell on 0845 12 LANCER (526 237) to book a place ASAP!! Loads of other details are on the MLR thread... Open 9am-7pm, timed runs (either one lap, or two at a time depending upon folks' preference), burger van, first aid for bruised egos etc etc all supplied... A target time for Craig is the 1m25s set in a Primera in the wet [sn] Cheers Rog
