I used to play in a band with your drummer many ,many years ago.I also used to do the lights/PA for Lena years ago too(although only the twice).......it's a small world. I'm a bass player, used to play with Fish,KT Tunstall and a few others, but stuck playing the function scene now myself. I play in Seattle, the alternative function band, our singer tends to shout alot, but the rest of the band are good players. Actually,we might need a guitarist to dep now and again (as one of our two has been offered the gig in Jools Hollands new club in his resident band). Do u know Taj?(guitarist) Tell Allan ,Niall the bass player says hello............ Cheers.

2-0 now to Scotland -
It's going to be a costly week for me.I put my car in today to get the bodywork sorted after being hit whilst parked(again!). I got it serviced yesterday thinking I could have a good blast next week on holiday after getting it back this Saturday from the bodyshop. Alas,I knew something wasn't quite right with the car, turns out the up pipe is on it's last legs.So whilst the turbo's out,I'm going for the Hayward & Scott up pipe and downpipe(I've already done the mid/back box).Bummer about the cost, but secretly happy cause I wanted to go full decat ages ago.I also need some more bushes to add to my on car white line products............lol...... Anyone else got the Hayward & Scott up pipe and downpipe? I just need to find some money for fuel after this lot............. Anyway ,cheers to all at AWD for the help & see you soon. I'm now 3.5 hours without Scoob and forced to watch a pointless Scottish football game on the telly! ps first time in a bus for years today........just to report, they've not changed:-)I think I'll stick with the Scoob

Then Dougster could buy mine :-)

I understand that a trip to perth isn't handy when ur in need of booster,so I always buy a box or 2 to last me.I always get very competitive prices from Grant & travel there from Edinburgh.I can get it in Edinburgh but not cheap enough! I understand where Gumballs coming from,if there was a place nearby that sold Millers cheaper, then I'd probably buy it there, then get a box or two when getting some work done to the car at AWD,thus saving the odd trip............but there isn't. As for NF,that stuff is rocket fuel, but very pricey and u have to measure it out, where as u just bung a bottle of millers in without any hastle.I've yet to try the millers cvl ,but I'm sure it good too,but about twice the cost of the usual millers octane booster Anyways,I could pick up boxes of the stuff from AWD if anybody in Edinburgh wants some.I'm up at the end of next week so let me know!(13th or 14th). (ps I'm not trying to go off topic,I just want to lend a hand to anyone in Edinburgh thats after booster)

That sounds familiar,I bought there too Fee. The first things I did were wheeel alignment, new tyres and then geometry.Roundabouts were scary with both understeer and over at the same time until I got it sorted. The tyres were good Yoko's,but they didn't like the rain at all!! His cars are OK,but I think they just swap wheels about from car to car sometimes.......along with a bumpy ride in a crate from Japan the settings are bound to be all over the place. But then they also failed to mention anything about difference in fueling too!! Failed to mention my car might go bang if I didn't use booster/remap. Still,he did me a good price(negotiation skills a must to get a resonable price from here!) and my Sti has been reliable(although I needed a new MAF after a month or so).I would probably buy from him again as I do believe that his cars are of decent quality,I'd just factor in the cost of this before negotiating a deal!

For-sale :- Speedline Gold 16" Alloy wheels x4 for Classic Scooby
MY94 replied to ally-b's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Depends on price, how much u looking for m8? I could collect if that helps. -
If I was always driving motorways and wasn't skint I'd have an M3.But as I'm skint and drive the twistys alot I don't. I did have a loan of and older M3 for about a month.Takes a bit of getting used to rear wheel drive and a different sort of power delivery.Great chassy,suspension,breaks,engine..... I really grew to like it. The only thing I really missed from the Scooby was the seats and the sound. The M3 sits at high speeds on the motorway really comfortably, where as the Scooby doesn't(I have a jap STi/gearing ratio etc)When I got back into my Scooby after being away from it so long(getting fixed), the main difference I noticed was the Scooby needs harder suspension,I felt I was driving a bouncy castle, thus my credit card bares the Whitle Line scars:-) I know nothing and this is just MY experience of the M3 and Scooby PS I think Eden Subaru or the Mitsibishi garage next door have the very same M3 for sale!!Give them a visit.

Can anyone recomend a cheap bodyshop in Edinburgh?
MY94 replied to MY94's topic in Scottish Scoobies
<< You might be surprised about Nobles. They quoted to fill and respray my rear bumper and I was pleasantly surprised. I know their work is very good >> I always hear good things about the body shop there,so I might just go get a quote on Wednesday,if not Grant @ AWD knows someone, but he's not too close to the town. Oh,and thanks to AWD for sorting me out with a front panel and light( I must give u a call and come pick them up Grant). Thanks for the replies,I'll probably go to Morrisons in Portobello for a quote too! Cheers all. -

PS I realise my posts on this site are all moany and grumpy.I"m actually quite chilled and a laugh at times. But my Scooby ownership seems to be bringing me bad Karma. So my next set of posts will be on world peace, winning the lottery and meeting the swedish model of my dreams.(OH and owning a P.Zonda). Failing that, working my ass off to pay my credit card bill:-)

No,the cars not Green.......lol. AWD is going to sort me out,so hopefully back on the rd in the not too distant future. I was even searching for local cars with dents in them today No word from the Police yet,but I leave them until Monday and call for an update(I won't hold my breath,I also doubt they'll bother to look at the tapes. What is the point of CCTV if the police can't be bothered to look at the tapes?) Anyways, have a good weekend all and thanks for the sympathy.
