You do a fantastic job organising the track days, and I dont think a lot of folk realise the effort you put in to make sure they all run smoothly, but I have witnessed first hand many times your email and driver listings....and I know those things take a lot of time to prepare....so thanks again John.....I wish you all the best in your travels....... You will see my car again mind you...as you know who has bought it...!!!! your old pal......... Catch you sometime soon John...all the best... Paul

Morning all..... Just a quick note to confirm I am standing down from my position as Central RO. Since I started my business in January I have been kept so busy....and having already done over 30K this year things continue to grow for me. While this is brilliant for my business, its meant I've had less and less time to organise things for the club. Apologies to those in the central region for kinda neglecting you the last few months......but I honestly dont know when I'm going to be around any more. The upshot of that is I have sold the car.....yes the Track baby is going to a new home.......back where it belongs.....and trust me it will be back, along with several choice mods I'm sure by the new owner.......I'm delighted it will be looked after well........ So along with my company car I am now the proud owner...(well Jo is) of a Seat Leon FR 170bhp TDi.....what a machine....this is my 4th Seat having had two Cupra's before.......boy they are good.......... Anyway....back to the club.... In a break from tradition I will be replaced by two highly upstanding individuals...by the names of ......... Tommy T Cut (Tam), and Rallye6 (Brian) Between the two of them I'm sure they will do a fantastic job, and can put a lot more time into the monthly meets etc. I wish them both all the best.... Thanks to everyone who I have met over the years with the club....and after 6 Scoobs...there have been many....but like most of us many of those friends have moved on also........ I will still stick my head in every few days to keep up to date with whats happening...... In the meantime...take care one and all....... Paul (to those that did buy some stock through my business.....I wil still be available on the normal mobile numbers if you cant catch me here..and THANKS for your support)

Thanks to everyone who showed up today for the event.....was a really good day out....some pretty impressive machinery on display...... Congratulations however must go to Frank STi who's car flew the flag for Subaru on the day with a figure of around 356BHP......so not only does Frank (Mark, I'll let him explain).....win the trophy from Total Impreza, he won a raffle prize as well....so a good day all round for him...well done mate....... Total money raised was around £900 on the day.....so not bad at all for 5 hrs....eh...!!! thanks to Duncan, Alex, and all the team at Hypertech for a great day.....also thanks to all those who contributed baking etc for the refreshment stall....yummy cakes !!!.... thanks again everyone... Paul

1. scoobysailor (01 WRX) 2. boab type ra (WR 1) 3. STI Pretender (06 STI) 329 on a Dastek so could be good to see the difference on Dyno Dynamics. 4. John Mcalllum 5. Frank_STi (04 STI) 6. ciaranrb5 RB5 standard bar 3" de-cat so 240ish not sure what to make of this all now..........but the decision has been made to go ahead anyway... guess we will have to see who does actually turn up on the day and go from there... sccobysailor....no worries about the time mate.....its on all day...and the cars dont need to run in any particular order... just whenever you can get there is fine... thanks Paul
-
Yes guys as above its a 9am start. This is to allow each of the 15 or so cars the 3 runs on the dyno.......so an early start is required to fit it all in I'm afraid..... Looking forward to it now...should be a good day.... thanks Paul
-
guys..sorry been away on business for a few days. I will call with Duncan tomorrow to confirm if the event is now going ahead with the improved numbers........and if so what time..?? will report back tomorrow night....I promise... Paul

1. scoobysailor (01 WRX) 2. boab type ra (WR 1) 3. jimser (g4y classic) 4. jonboywrx (98 uk) ... if your stuck ill help out, was going to come to watch anyway 5. STI Pretender (06 STI) 329 on a Dastek so could be good to see the difference on Dyno Dynamics. 6. John Mcalllum 7. Scotty RB320 Thanks guys for the support............. I reiterate my point....if anyone who originally contacted me about doing the event let me know where they stand....... At the minute I think the best option is if the MLR do send anyone....we can decide on the day who wants to go on the rollers for the SIDC....
-
no worries Peter......I guessed the car wouldnt be ready anyway after our chat at Knockhill.....but thanks for your kind offer of a donation....lets just hope we can pull it together.... Thanks for sticking your names down guys....just to double check you have read the original post about this in Events.......and are prepared to donate the amount listed there ???....... I guess the best thing moving forward is just to add to the list on this thread.....if any of the orginal power cars arrive on the day...then we can decide then what is needed...... so any more takers to go on the rollers.... I make it 4 for now......would like to get up to 10 willing to do this if possible....make the event runnable...and the donation to the charity more substantial... thanks guys... Paul
-
Evening all Okay..... The Horsepower Heroes event for charity at Hypertech is now unfortunately looking in doubt, unless the SIDC can pull a blinder out of the bag.... With the MLR forum pulling out of the event and not even telling anyone !!...its left the situation kinda high n dry as it where. I started of with a list of prob around 6 or 7 cars that were due to attend the event and go on the rollers on behalf of the SIDC.....however I have had several drop outs due to various understandable reasons.....I am still waiting on anyone else who pm'd me originally to come back to me saying if they can still attend the event...... So we have a choice here.....??? 1) The event is cancelled..which would be a shame after the work all the team at Hypertech had done in preparing.......magazines, merchandise, food, etc etc...as well as the embarassment of having to go back to the charity to cancel....!! 2) The SIDC come to the rescue and make it a day to remember without the MLR club........so how do we do that...??? Initially the concept was to get the highest horsepower cars etc etc.......Now...the Skyline guys are still going to be there..so there is still some competition......however........ While our plan was to throw onto the rollers the highest powered cars we had...there is absolutely no reason why we cannot put our slightly less tuned models forward....whilst the competion for power was the main goal...we must not forget the purpose of the day was to raise money for the charity.......we can do that with anyones car....it doesnt have to be a fully tuned monster...... so what do you guys and girls think.....????? IF I hear from the others on the original list we will still need additional cars......anyone prepared to put their car forward for the event.......?? Decisions on this unfortunately have to be made by Saturday. I need to contact Duncan at Hypertech by this time, and unless numbers are sufficient enough for us to make a decent donation to the charity then the event will have to be cancelled......... We have had Santa Cruise rolling roads before with great success....there is no reason why this cant be a success for everyone involved..... Hypertech, Help the Heroes, SIDC, SKyline Owners Club, and the various magazines which have commited to cover the event and offer prizes. Comments welcomed..... I am happy to start another list with definate confirmed numbers..... thanks everyone for listening. Paul
