Have a good trip Andi. Got anyone interested in the leggy yet mate? I'd buy it myself if I had some money.
-
Or someone to test out goodies on? Excellent stuff anyway.
-
All looking very nice Dave. Dunno what I will do about a pump - I suppose I really might have to look into buying another from somewhere but pennies are very tight now I'm saving for the wedding so it really narks me that I know it must be around somewhere yet seems to have vanished off the face of the earth. Car isn't going too bad anyway although occasionally it is holding back lower down the revs. You can feel & see on the gauge that it's boosting but the car really holds back then when the revs get higher it seems to go ok again. Seems a bit random too. No idea what's going on there though.

Yes mate, and not a good one too. Spent hours looking for the water injection pump, turned my place inside out, turned the mrs' place inside out and the car too and it's nowhere to be seen. Don't know how on earth I can have lost a big heavy chunk of metal like that but I appear to have managed to somehow since fitting the second pair of ignition coils a few weeks back. It's taken months to fit the bloody injector and now I can't even use the damn thing as I've no pump to drive it with.
-
Hopefully yes mate. Just have to remember where the hell I've put the water injection pump. Can't find the bugger anywhere!!!
-
Can't wait to see yours all finished Dave! Session last night Jimmy? Got my water injector installed in the manifold last night and got the blits boost controller plumbed back in again. Just need to remember where I left the water pump to get the rest of the kit installed, and get my new cooler pump on when it arrives and things SHOULD then be going pretty sweet!
-
Didn't really do much last night Andi aside from reattaching the boost line to the boost controller so I can plumb it in to boost how I want it. Got to get to grips with the instructions first though - it's all talk about ratios & stuff. Car is going pretty well though aside from knackered cooler pump. Well done Jimmy - good stuff mate!
-
Morning dudes! Hopefully installing injector for water injection tonight.....
-
Bloody hell, that was quick! Top man! Glad it's sorted matey. This evening I'm going to try to refit my electronic boost controller and see how things go with that and the new chip. Don't suppose anyone happens to have a spare water/air legacy cooler lying about do they?!
-
Morning dudes! More crappy weather.
-
Dave that all looks superb mate! How come they had to meddle with the endtanks?
-
Chrome bling eh? Love to see what bits! Just got new voschip installed and after some initial problems it doesn't seem bad although not quite as potent as I'd expect. It boosts up to about 1.3 bar but I think it should be going quicker for the boost it's generating. Maybe it's because I've had chips with more ignition before and as this one isn't as harsh it'll mean a bit less power but a safer engine.... Think it takes a while after fitting the chip before the ecu all settles down properly anyway so I'll just play it by ear and see how it behaves. Might plug the Blitz EBC back in though to make sure there's no wastegate creep and add in a little more boost.....
-
Hell yeah, then we can go to Coasters, then Cunninghams, then get some pub snacks...... Spill the beans then Andi!
-
Morning dudes - new chip should be here today! What are you and Dave up to then Andi? Some secret project?!
-
That's not a bad price mate! He knows his legacies inside out too! Surprised there's a difference between the uk/jdm ones though. At least you can get it sorted anyway. You can always flog the other one on the legacy forum mate.
-
Try Howard at HDC subaru, or Grade A.
-
You not had any luck so far Andi? Take it the car is just getting a flat battery repeatedly after using it but not leaving anything switched on? Bummer dude.
-
Seems there's a whole lot of car sweetness modding going on at the moment! All looks very nice! My new chip should be here this week at last but don't think it will make much difference while I still have this bloody error code.
-
Afternoon dudes! Quiet around these here parts!
-
The cads! I've got black & silver plates and they suit the car very well but it is an 89 model. That said, I think the law says registered on the island before 90 and mine wasn't, just the age of the car is older. Still, DMS made them for me after checking my logbook saying they had to by law so if I get fined I'm going straight to them to get my money back.
-
Got it sorted again. Couldn't believe it though earlier. Just as I got back to the car after work to remove the zorst and drive off the police rang me. They said they'd received a complaint about where my car was parked from someone. They were fine when I explained I'd left it there because the exhaust had come off and was moving it the first possible chance but they had to check. I don't mind them ringing me but I do object to whoever the jobsworth prick was that complained. The exhaust came off on the road that goes along the edge of ballakermeen playing fields but a bit lower down where it's quite narrow and I carried on 50 yards or so with it dragging on the road so I could turn into the estate so it wouldn't be in the way. It was pretty close to the junction but off the main road and not in anyone's way so I can't believe someone made a complaint!! I hope their car breaks down in front of an oncoming train. Next time if it happens I'll leave it out on the road causing an obstruction seeing as there's no yellow lines. It might cause 10 times the inconvenience & danger to other drivers but at least it won't be parked in front of someone's precious house so it's ok!
-
I'm guessing it's something that goes bang quite a lot..... Fegging exhaust came off over a speed bump this morning so I had to abandon the car and run back home. Grrrr! Today is going to be one of those days.
-
Morning dudes! Be nice to get a lightened flywheel for when I have to replace the clutch but am probably too skint now I have to save up for a wedding! Besides - it's not going to make the car run any better whilst it still has this bloody error code!
-
Sweeeeeet! Take it that's a standard flywheel that someone has lightened Dave rather than a custom made or aftermarket one? Can you PM me details of how much lighter it is and what they cost please mate as it'd be nice to maybe get one myself when my clutch has to be done next. Off away for the weekend now dudes - have fun!

That looks a beast! Sounds like Ford are actually doing something right again for once! Shame it's in a focus though as they're ugly as sin!
