  1. I think you can get imports serviced & get parts easily enough, it's just that *in general* official dealers tend to look the other way when you mention the i word. There are tons of places where you can source parts if need be so I doubt that should pose a problem. Can't help you on the import process but I think there are a lot of people driving imported scoobs over here. My legacy being one. One thing worth mentioning though is that imports are mapped for 100ron fuel octane and the best we have here is 97 to my knowledge, which means to be on the safe side either getting it remapped or adding octane boost to the fuel. Some people don't add octane boost and I believe have had no problems (Dave?) but it is potentially risky to do so. Fitting a knocklink device gives peace of mind too. Good luck with it anyway and welcome to the forum.
  2. Morning dudes - like a ghost town on here! There goes a tumbleweed....... Some interesting aches today after training with Neil & Jimmy last night!
  3. Cheers Dave - I've reached the conclusion that this should indeed go skinny end forwards and slot into the back of the backbox but I must figure a way to keep it in place. Do they make much difference to the sound? I presume it just works by re-circulating some of the exhaust gas & keeping it in a bit longer. Someone has suggested the extra back pressure may even improve the bottom end a bit & add a little torque? Re - bubbling I've had it sometimes too I must admit and my head gaskets are ok as far as I know...... Any chance of borrowing that IACV solenoid still Dave? Cheers dude!
  4. Hope the car wasn't sliding around in the car deck Richard! Thanks for picking up the exhaust part for me Andy - nice to meet you as well mate. Just have to suss out which way round it goes now, and where is the best spot to position it!!! Anyone got any ideas from this shoddy diagram I did of it?! Shoddy DB Insert diagram I did
  5. << Mainly had to top it up if I have been accelerating a lot. Andy >> Hmmm, doesn't sound great if you can't find any in the engine bay or beneath the car. If it's after accelerating then it could indeed be a head gasket as it might be fine under normal driving but under the extra pressure of boost it could be leaking & using coolant. Have you checked for mayonaise in the oil cap/bubbling in the coolant tank etc?
  6. What a nightmare Andi!! Not sweet! QAndy - can you actually see coolant at all in the engine bay or is it just that you're having to top it up all the time?
  7. I am mate. Was out since 5 and I feel better this morning than I did yesterday! I think drinking all that beer & alcopops and breathing in the smoky air in the outback has maybe done the trick. Ears are still blocked though Throwing shapes! As if - you couldn't lay down any moves in there if you wanted to!
  8. All.
  9. I'd be surprised if they do bits like that. Are they actually open now then? I'd try G&C motorsport in ramsey as they're more likely to if anything. They sell bits & pieces like that - give 'em a buzz.
  10. Damn right Jimmy - this has been the week from hell!
  11. Sweet - hope things go according to plan Andi. Just the carbs balanced on my bike - much smoother now but seems to have a problem starting when its hot sometimes now. This is not a good week!
  12. Sent you a reply to your PM Andy - sorry, would have been earlier but I've just got in from work. Bad day doesn't come close!
  13. Actually Andy I could use a part from Demon Tweeks if you are going there? I need to quieten mine down a bit and they do Jetex exhaust DB inserts which look ideal. The address of the page it's on is: 3" DB Insert If you think you would be able to grab me one of those let me know so that I can give you the money for one. It says they're in stock. Cheers! Jim
  14. Morning dudes!
  15. And den?
  16. << Dave, am i right in thinking mine and your car have different MAF sensors ? as i noticed you had an induction kit on your car on saturday and everyone under the sun on scoobynet is warning me about putting one on mine because of the MAF getting damaged ? you had any problems ? >> The problem with MAF sensors and induction kits on scoobs tends to be largely related to ones impregnated with oil as opposed to dry type ones. Word to the wise though if you go for a dry pod filter avoid the blitz SUS one as whilst it looks and sounds nice I've seen the results of filtration tests done on it in a filter comparison and it pretty much lets all the crud through it! What's made you deceide to keep the scoob? And more importantly what are the plans for mods?!
  17. Sorry not to make it up there for a skeet. I haven't been well all weekend so was lying down all Saturday and was down south yesterday. Glad it went well.
  18. Not sweet dude.
  19. Yeah and I got me a nice cold last night too!
  20. Morning dudes! This thread is quiet!

  23. I know mate and I haven't been to the gym for the last 2 weeks!
  24. Afternoon dudes! Nice week in Cyprus last week but rather toasty to say the least!
  25. << Have a sweeeet holiday Jim dude!, you gonna do any running down the beach? >> Running? You must be mad! I'm going on holiday not to boot camp matey! Besides with my knee being injured I'm going to have to mostly lie back and relax with the odd drink or two. Terrible shame!
