  1. I used to crave a blobeye but in the last two months i have been drawn back to the buggies ! The car looks real sweet my good man [<)] - i I have just got an STi scoop for my car and it looks nice with out being OTT. Enjoy [6]
  2. yeah I saw that Raymondo but have one already thanks - you should edit your post to say that it will fit ALL scoobs including new ages . might get more chance of selling it that way CGS
  3. So is this feasible Phil ? General consencus seems that it'a good ideas as the bullsmit posters aren't fussed either way. So the NSR section would benefit all ? Yes you could argue that we have one already in the wider SIDC area but it clearly isn't getting used by the Ecosse contingent ? Any thoughs fella ? Thanks CGS
  4. Lets not wander off topic. With reference to Al's thread and 4) Daily Life Issues and General Crap..... The question is do we need it or not ? Not about "rucks" or "keyboard warriors" - i think you and Wilky are missing the point here. Arguing has nothing to do with it .......
  5. All I'm saying is that a lot of the old skool just don't post anymore ..........we must ask ourselves why !? People who have less time to surf these forums simply cannot be bothered sifting through lame threads. It is a simple as that..........No fingers pointed, no rants, just a statement of fact. The arguments are another aside and will never cease in this place......conflict is a fact if life. Some forums have less than others.......No point on wasting any energy and that one. So in summary a NSR section would a) encourage more people who have LESS time on their hands to visit this place and improve their perception of this Scottish section ( which could be better tbh) let those who enjoy NSR stuff blissfuly post without bothering anyone. Phil can only set up a finite amount of sections though so I doubt this will happen. We live in hope. There is a marked difference between the odd OT post and keyboard diarhhea. CGS
  6. YES PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been saying this for ages - way too much crap to sift through these days
  7. Even with my measely 250 bhp I took a few scalps from the Elise boys, an S2000 and another scooby. Outta the hairpin the car is on full boost so quickly. Bing was mightily impressed during his pax lap. Now got the high flo' cat on which is performing nicely - more torque & better spool up with more pops and bangs to boot. Not had it dyno'd yet and probably not worth the hassle until I do the turbo and up-pipe.... Cheers CGS
  8. Thanks folks - I looked up proactive in the dictionary and there was a pictre of you guys in there ! I can feel a Hybrid TD 04 coming on now ! Cheers Cal
  9. I had a real swell time out there .........good to meet some new faces but never really got a good enough chat with any really due to running around like a daftie. The new surface is SOOOOO grippy to the point where it's dangerous if there is a section of muddy, greasy tarmac just after a nice grippy bit ( e.g top of Duffus). The "bollards" at the chicane annoy me but they are there for a reason. They had cones out for HHatch which showed you the right lines ( supposedly !) but they got on my thrupennies. I wasn't caning my car as i had relatively new Toyo's on . The TR1's are pretty damn good though and inspire confidence. I'm running 250 bhp @ present which sounds hee-haw but I kept up with ( & passed) some of the Elises guys which was previously unachievable with the measlely 215bhp as standard. The new brake upgrade was so radically different from standard too. Godspeeds grooved discs + Ferodo DS2500 + Goodrich hoses + 5.1 meant absolutely no fade and i could almost stand on the brakes at the last minute. So all in all a great day but i never took any in-car footage.... Went out in Andy's ( newbie) WR1 and OMG was it rapid ! It just grips an grips and munches gears for breakfast and comes back for more ! With the DCCD on auto we got the back end oot every time at the hairpin. Makes me want to sell my house and left baw and live in a cave to get my mits on one. Nice photties too Neil - thanks for sharing [<)] Cheers Cal
  10. Here's another book folks http://www.pmmbooks.com/impreza.htm Anyone got it ? Cheers Cal
  11. Good one big chap .........anyone feeling the love ? CGS
  12. Nice one Stephano - get the URL linked to yer singature matey Callum W - did you ever get my PM on my recommendations ? [] CGS
  13. Nice one Chris [] Doug keeps warm by burning his auld Burberry gear [:#]
  14. This has been doing the rounds at the orifice and is quite amusing !! CGS
  15. Sorry Russell ! back on topic ! 07711 884232 + Subaru + parts = job well done and money saved with free advice to boot []
  16. Whats wrong with the gearbox or are you purely upgrading it ? CGS
  17. Brian You ought to get a K&N panel and replace to horrible intercooler hoses which can melt and have REALLY rank internals. Samco ones are so smooth in comparison and fit way nicer. Your whip will breathe better - also if you go down the STi intercooler route then you'll ideally want an STi8 scoop. I have been thinking about the TD04 hybrid too as i love the low down torque and rapid spool up. But i know an STi one will be cheaper and give more BHP Cheers CGS
  18. yeah - I know - fook knows how to fix the link as I am sure the code is right I think the yanks have been nailing the bandwitdth again !
  19. Now that is amusing ..........." awright hen - can you wrap my pipe nice and tight ! " ................. " the girth of my snakehead has resulted in some sweet flow rates " See you Sunday ya dawg ! CGS
  20. Cool thanks - how do i sensibly remove the heatshield then ? This will mean i can deliver it to your gaff before Sunday CGS
  21. Thanks for the info - I kinda suspected that was the case but the whole issue wasn't helped by the fact that the Ebay picture showed no bolts in-situ ! For info - I have axel stands, large jack and torque wrench & limited tools - anything else you need other than the usual obvious tools, heatwrap, wire, resisitor and gaskets ( which it sounds like we wont need afterall) I will get you to have a look at my Lamco guage too as it's not working too well at present. Needle is relucant to move unless your at full throttle - it wasn't like a few months back after we installed it. One more Q - what's the best way to get rid of the up-pipe heatshield - I don't want to damage it hence seeking your advice. Tempted to leave it on after hearing that iheatwrap can trap salt & moisture and corrode the metal given that it's not an aftermarket job ( info from a US website). Any thoughts ? I obviously trust your judgement [] Cheers Calum
  22. Brian - I was speaking to Russell tonight and he reckons the 3 inch system may have an adverse effect on your car unless your intend on upgrading your turbo too. Might be worth investigating before you take the plunge ? Just an idea mon amigo as this may not overly concern you ? CGS
  23. Del - I would roll with the Tom Tom as it has a nice screen and seems tried and tested. My mate has the Garmin and it's ok but the processor ain't that hot and the screen is poor. BUT it's a damn good price ! Loads of these being knocked at the moment so taking it out everytime you park up might be a ball-ache ? CGS p.s new house is fine but the garage is a midden at the moment - roll on the summer
