  2. I'm in the market for an exhaust @ present and wondered if anyone else has one of these systems ? Boyakasha has one and it sounds immense....... Doubt I'll go over 350 bhp for the foreseable future so going for 3" with my 16G turbo makes little sense for now ( i.e smallish turbo and fat pipes = potential waste of time) I'm also going back to OE headers primarily for the rumble but also for the quick spool up. Choices at present are :- Full TSL system with Thundercat + Group N box TSL Pulse Extraction system ( costly but I plan to keep The Patriot for a while ) Full Ninja system Full H&S System Still torn over full decat. Sports Cats seem to make way more sense but obviously cost £200 more than full decat downpipe I have a C&C custom snakehead system at present and whilst it flows nicely, I cannot interchange a OE catted downpipe due to some odd choices of length during their fabrication Any thoughts welcome ? Cal p.s not really been on here recently due to being on a multitude of international stags & weddings. Talk about modding fund killers ! p.p.s new baby arrives in 9 weeks time - yikes !
  3. I was not there today but my old boy was on track with his Caterham and got a bit of a fright when a DEER ran onto the track and ran around in circles in a panic in front of him ! He was able to stop safely and luckily had no-one behind him ! Never seen that before !
  4. I had this on full boost at the top end a while back. New plugs and a small tweak cured it - it was running too rich at the top end but the plugs were not helping Fickle beasts ain't they !

  7. I got pissed off pulling out the baby seat and folding down the back seats of my Audi Last week I purchased Thule Aero Bars & the 591 Proride carrier VERY very sturdy and soooooo easy to put the bike on ( by yourself too) Hope that helps ?
  8. EXTREMELY IMPRESSIVE !!! I hope your are gonna ditch the Toyo T1-R's as they are gonna have to be stickier to cope with the tooooooooooooooorque that this mutha is gonna be outputting. Time for some R888 rubber or something like that You are truely radio rental oriental mon amigo ! The pax vultures will be queuing at the gate for a ride in the Bamboo Infinity !
  9. w.r.t the sound of that car. Would not say it's bad............but the soundtrack of L555 BAT would be FAR superior IMHO Some torque on that car and not too much lag !?

  16. I was checking out my pipework yesterday. Without getting underneath the car ( on a ramp ideally) I cannot really tell but it looks like it might be 3" from the bottom of the dp to the backbox. Weirdly it looks the diameter increases at the backbox Cheers for the info Johnny Col - nice pics but I am mostly diggin' your daughters choice of slippers

  18. By doing a "Fai17" I meant that you apply the " don't fix it upgrade it" mentality and your chariot end up being off the road for lengthy periods . It then get's hard to be satisified with current power levels. You know what I mean - I could have said doing " a Higgy " and it would have painted the same picture. That's pretty much what I thought - I'd love to go for more power but when I watch people take their cars above 350bhp it a ) costs a fortune and b ) things go wrong and you end up doing a "Fai17" Not only that - my 5 speed box would not cope with > 350 torques likely ( even though I have an uprated clutch) >> Family life is good - got another baby on the way ( think I forgot to tell you lot actually !)   20. Fellas, Debating whether to switch to a full 3" system ? I doubt I'll ever run over 350bhp so do I really need a 3" system ? I was out a run tonight and even pushing out somewhere between 310-320bhp it's pretty scary given it's propensity to rev forever on 5 speed. Having bought Arch's ported headers as I missed the burble so intend to fit them soon along with a new exhaust system ( i'll likely loose at the top end but spool up a little quicker) . Current exhaust system is a C&C snakehead decat downpipe with an odd combination of pipework meaning that I cannot switch backbox easily without *******ising the flanges. Incidentally, the snakehead is an impressive bit of kit. I just want to be able to run some conventional length aftermarket pipework incase I need to swop out come MOT time. Pretty sure I'll stay decatted for now though. There's tons of mixed advice on SN so turn to you guys for some wisdom ? What's the thoughts on 2.5 v 3 ? IF I were to ver run an 18G would I need 3" even then ? STI v2 RA heads and cams port matched to all manifolds and ported and polished. Standard size valves. Phase one inlet manifold powder coated blue with manifold insulation spacers, and port matched to fit onto the STI v7 block with STI v2 RA heads and SS gaskets. Engine built & supplied by Dave at API. It is a JDM block crank pistons and rods & semi forged very strong. Sards 550cc injectors on phase one rails which have been powdercoated STI pink. Throttle body onto manifold is ported and knifedged. Equal Length tubular headers Mapped to 1.4 bar by Andy Forrest. Tweaked recently by Wallace Performance. Apexi Power-FC ECU and Commander Apexi AVCR boost controller Apexi Induction Kit Forge BOV Autobahn88 FMIC Fully decatted exhaust system with snakehead down pipe made by C + C Exhausts

  24. No brainer for me ....................you'll always hanker for a classic BUT when that Sti has 430 bhp and serious money spent on it then I'd go for that anyday Do you want to look @ it or drive it fast ? CGS
