  3. Dave means it is ok to fit it without a remap. Got one myself so i know its ok too.
  4. Gerry Do the transmission losses make sense to you? On colin's car (the 2.33) ran 411 bhp but had losses to the wheels of only 30bhp. Surely this should have been much higher?

  7. I think mine is obvious...My hero!
  8. Something like 360/340. Should be more than that now
  9. I'm sorry but what difference does it make that he hasn't posted any thread since his last post in may. This is not a valid point. Who cares that i can get it from his website i like when he lets us know when they are available just like we get told of someone's ticket that they bought for some concert or something as mundane as that. The copyright issue is indeed a valid one but he is not doing it for any financial gain so he wouldn't be chased for this utter bad crime eh! O/T threads are not fine if you discriminate against loafy's. It ain't the joy of being a mod and a target to shoot at. It just means that a mod should clearly apply the same rules to all posts. This is one main reason why so many moved to SIDC from Scoobynet!!!!!
  10. I mean god is Scottishscoobies turning into what scoobynet is with silly thread locking. Loafy the guy that posts the sets does it for fun, give the guy a feckin break!!! Don't usually post unless i have something to say and even that is not that often. Does that mean i should get my threads locked cause i don't have much to say. Some of the threads i have seen posted on here are stupid. Many 6 year olds have more constructive things to say than goats or whatever crap i see on here. Mass movement to sn on the cards!
  11. I have the gruppe-s with helix up-pipe and have had it on over a year and a half. In that time i have changed turbos and engines and things and the flexi still is in good nick ( and i don't drive slow or have much sympathy for the car...ask anyone!). I think like Wilky says, it has a lot to do with the movement of the pipe and how well it is bolted to the block. Oh and i also have had no leaking issues with the 2 bolt flange like some people get.
  12. Just a few vids taken with my mate's phone cam. http://www.smorin.co.uk/scoobrun/1stSunsetChase.3gp http://www.smorin.co.uk/scoobrun/SecondChase.3gp http://www.smorin.co.uk/scoobrun/PassGreg.3gp http://www.smorin.co.uk/scoobrun/1sttothepubwins.3gp NB You need up to date Real Player!
  13. Great day had by all. Thanks to Doug for the company, Rosie and Jim (sorry Scott), Cal for the patter and the usual lads for the laugh!
  14. "Coulty has his pipes going onto his strut brake and down, attached with plastic ties, this is a good idea. But remember you want it running free with no kinks." I used to have it tied up there but have since had it hidden under the inlet manifold when i had it off. You need to make sure you run all three pipes (that is crank and the 2 cam breathers) seperately and have them running away from the turbo side down to the passenger side where you can stick them behind the brake lines. I will be able to show this to anyone who wants to see it on saturday. Mine is the white classic btw.
  15. anyone want to see it can come to KH on sat and see it already done on my car. I will be on the sidc stand with me mota!
  16. The thing is kenny that the jap imports are easier to extract power from as they are the twin-scroll turbos and are better straight from the factory. The UK cars as usual are lower specced and need more done to achieve the same.
  17. The manifold allows more power to be made at a lower boost. VF35 i believe which is good for about 330bhp. The standard sti tmic has been proven to over 400 bhp and is good enough to sustain a car with 370bhp easily. You could do it all for £3k if you could sell your turbo and buy a used (low mileage) 20g. This would be for parts only. Most of the fitting is relatively easy and can be done on a newish car without much fuss. The person to ask for a run is Peter (fai17 on here). He has an sti of that age and is currently chasing what you are after.
  18. You would basically need a full decat (or at least replacing the system with a high flow cat one) which has to include a manifold and uppipe, fuel pump, bigger turbo (namely 20g or similar), bigger injectors, new induction/uprating current induction and a remap (tek3 andyf style) and a new inlet samco pipe to turbo.
  19. OI andyJDM shutit you and yer fekkin hairdo yerself bigman!!
  20. Thanks everyone! Never won anything in my life so this is a first!!! Will post up after i have been to let you in on all the details. Stuart
