Very true mate but once you do them the pistons and uprate the bearings then you can stay worry free whatever standard position turbo you decide to throw at it in future. The bigger costs are all the labour and other bits like gaskets etc etc

Might as well stick some uprated rods in there while you are doing the pistons.

The yellow hose is an earthing kit. It is a mod but nothing to really shout about.

Any one know where i can get two wheels that are slightly buckled put back into shape. Kenny at Kenny brown engineering mentioned a place called ace engineering or similar near shotts that did such a thing but i cannot find them. Also need the other redone at the same time. Any ideas where i can go?

This is because jap radio is on a much smaller frequency range than us. In order for it to work you need to fit a band expander to your radio (check ebay) and although the numbers as it scans won't be correct you will then be able to pick up all the uk radio stations.

I am not saying 100% that it is the maf but it is one of the likely causes. Not it might not happen everytime on track but you have to understand how much abuse the car gets on track so it is not surprising when something goes wrong on a road car. I would be replacing the maf asap just as a precaution. I would take the maf out and see if it looks like any oil contamination is on it. that MIGHT give you a clue.

I think replacing the MAF (about £70) would be the logical first step. It only takes a couple of minutes. If ya need help there are many that could help including myself if you need it.

I am with dave. MAF sensor is the likely cause. Probably the recirculating of oil after KH caused the MAF to become contaminated.

to be honest this is very unfair to a guy like me. I have been about here for as long if not longer than most. The membership would not benefit me in any way so therefore i have never had nor intend to get sidc membership. Even scoobynet lets non-members post in a for sale section. I think this has to be changed!!

If John is Welsho then his is an sti. He will have the sti tmic and 565cc injectors which should be more than enough if he runs a higher fuel pressure but alternatively he could put 650 or 740cc injectors in it. The wrx tmic will more than cope with 300bhp in fact it would probably do more like 350-400.

You don't need a CAI to run 400bhp. In fact unless you are going FMIC then there is absolutely no point. The airbox can handle more than 450bhp and also keeps the inlet temps down very well with no chance of any MAF issues.

with quite a wad of torque too. Never realised you had a 2.5. Yea anyway the 20g WILL be front entry so no probs on your motor.
